Generally I say that judged sports aren't really a sport compared to something like a game or race where there is no subjective grading. But you can't deny that skaters are athletic, and there is danger involved, at least for the girls. Check this out, the russian skaters fall:

I thought of a way to combine the hot chicks of skating with real sports: The guys could hold the girls up in the air while doing a race, say 1000 meters. That would be good for some awesome crashes, plus there would be no doubt who wins!

That had to hurt. A lot.

So Scott, would that be like that wife-carrying race they have in Europe every year where the guy carries his wife through the mud and crap. And the couple who wins gets to take home the woman's weight in beer? Perhaps there could be a Winter Olympic variation of that.

Oh, I didn't make it cler - it would be done on skates, like the 1000 meter race. Ouch!

Hah! Wife loves skating. I find it a way to make me fall asleep. Although boring, I would consider it a sport. Maybe we need WWF skating!

crap i heard about that but never saw it. he kinda pulled her down face down into the ice, too. i feel guilty 'cause i giggled when i saw she cracked her melon at mellon stadium. i need help, i know.

Sure the americas have some good ones too.

What about curling? I mean, where does one go to curl? It's not like you see curling alleys around like bowling alleys. WTF? Hell it was an exhibition event for like 60 years+ before you could go for the gold.

To me its as much as a sport as any of the winter olympics stuff.. (Which I dont really consider a "sport" except hockey). When I think of sports, I think of baseball, basketball, football, hockey.. and thats basically about it..

Heh heh, bob on this you luger! Is luge a sport? I dunno, wouldn't a bag of dog food go down there just as fast? Except for the start maybe. Whats that luge where they go down face first? thats flippin sweet.
