Is a buggy for me?

here's a question for you though....how often do you run your buggy?
If it's only a few times a month then sure a RTR will hold up and be more fun than peeing your pants in a mosh pit......if you run 2-3 times a week and race it.....I'd have to see it to beleive it....I see guys trying to race the Mayhems and have more issues than I do.....I run about a galon every week....most of that on saturday and I beat the snot out of my buggy.....when I have friends go to the track and they bring their mayhems and GS storm (not the pro) or the kyosho sport RTRs they just fall to peices.....I'm not going to say your buggy is crap cause it's not and nobody in this thread has (I think) but it was designed for a specific user......I've met Jared I think he is definately more of a performance minded person...and people w/ that mind set are looking for just that, Performance.....your XTM is probably awsome for bashing and running laps at the track.....I'm no race pro but I see what racing does to your stuff as compared to just running it.....Not crapping on your opinion just flexin mine

Thats all I'm trying to say. I ran my regualr X-Term about 2-4 times a week but never raced it. The thing never broke at all and it always ran fine. I'm not saying that it will hold up to racing....I just think that people really don't give the XTM the credit it deserves.

Wow, I would have never thought I would spawn this kind of response, but thanks everybody for their input. I got the t-maxx working back real smooth, so I am going to use it to hold me over for a little bit while I save up for a buggy. I am no closer to deciding if I want to go RTR or a higher end kit now, but you all have definitely broadened the spectrum of possibilities out there for me to consider. None the less, I will keep you all posted on which way I go, how I like/dislike it. Thanks again,
Jared Williamson

it has it's market.....they all do.....most people neglect to say exactly what theey are saying it's so great for...I guess mike already said that though....
