Have one just like it.
The HSP 1/8 scale crawler as far as I can tell is the same thing, minus the cooling fan on the ESC. It comes in JEEP form or RETRO TRUCK. There is a large write up on the Integy version of it in the March 2009 issue of XTREAM RC CARS page 96-105.
I am new to the world of RC crawling, and was very unsure of which way to go. I ended up bidding on four different crawlers on E-bay, Figured I might get none, one, or all. Ended up winning the HSP 1/8 scale crawler. Paid less than $300. delivered to the door. It only needed charged and AA batteries for the controller. Mine came with the euro-type plug on the charger. So I had to buy a charger so I could play with it. There are some videos of these Crawlers on you-tube. It may not be the most extreme crawler out there, but it was a whole lot less money than other comparable rigs. There are some week parts on it, but that is true of many toys one might get. I am not disappointed with it at all for one of my first crawlers. It let me know that I love this hobby enough that I am in the process of building a couple of 2.2 rigs for my son and me. If someone ends up getting one of these and wants parts for it there are a lot of upgrade parts available. 0I read an article on the axle’s week points and some fixes for this problem. I had a gear strip out so when I had it apart I fixed these week points with custom parts I made myself. If someone would like to know more about what I did or how it turned out just let me know.
I am very new to the forum concept, so if my reply was too long, I am sorry.
