INS Box

i can't really drive my T-Maxx in my neighborhood, because it is two loud....

so my choices are:

a) get an electric
b) get an INS box

what an INS box is is a silencer air filter kit. you can get some info here:
Serpent INS BOX info

the INS box is $14 from this canadian mailorder (its called Udisco , anyone had any experience with them?), or i can get a whole new electric for about $425.

what should i do? anyone know anything on the INS box? will the INS box work on my 2.5 engine?

yes, my neighbors are little ball bags.

a perfect example....check out what they did when i built my halfpipe...

look at that green wall thing they built over the right side =devil

and its my dad who doesn't want me to drive it, but i guess i can understand, it is a tight neighborhood, we've only got 1/8th acre!

Dude that says up to 3DB that aint Sheit honestly.. That is just going to quite it down a bit. Screw wasting your money on that crap....

To those of you thinking hes got some butthead neigbors since he said canada mail order then I would think he is in canada so it makes sense that the poeple in his neighbor hood contained a hugh population of assholes... sorry that was just to good to miss...X

if you run it during normal daytime hours and don't run at rediculous late night hours I say screw em. Hell you could be doing alot worse things. BTW nice job on the half pipe.

This is the perfect example of why people get pissed. If you have a little respect for your neighbors, and try to be a little considerate of them you will have much fewer problems. An attitude like this will have them calling the cops on you, most cities have noise ordinances. I dont run my T whenever I want to, and I would be pissed if I had an inconsiderate neighbor like Zoomer that did.

Why spend $15 when you can make you own out of PVC. All you need is 2 pieces of pvc about 1 - 2" long, one about the outer diameter of your stinger on your pipe, one slightly larger in diameter 2 pvc plugs, and some sound resistant material (sponge or scouring pads work wonderful). On the home front you'll need a drill and some pvc glue (CA works if you don't have pvc glue). On the smaller diameter tube you need to drill a few small holes in the center of the pipe. Drill a hole in each cap so that the small pvc tube can fit through. Make a small slot on the smaller diameter pipe so that it can be cinched down to fit your stinger (hose clamps work well). Glue the entire assembly together and add the silencing material between the small tube and the big tube and presto, you have a home made silencer.

If you knew who my neighbors were, you would know i told them to f off. I grew up with them, they all are my age, 18. It is not being incosiderate, it is to get them back for playing their music too damn loud at 2 am. LOL payback is awsome!Their parents think it is cool, their parents drive a corvett that is dual turbo charged. I raced him once, he thought it was funny! I live on a corner house to so all i have to worry about is one neighbor!

Do you own a lawnmower? I mean honestly. If you were out there cutting your grass do you think they'd give a shiet? No. They are only bitching because you're playing with a toy. Same thing goes for the skate ramp. The next time they bitch fire up the lawnmower and ask why they don't give your dad hell when he cuts the grass.

I don't much care what my neighbors think. If they bring the cops, I'm bringing out the lawn mower. It makes a good point. They wouldn't complain if it weren't a toy. (As long as you don't run it at 2am or something)

well, thats not really that great of a point, because playing with the T-Maxx isnt necessary, but cutting the grass is. like you dont really have a good reason to make all that noise, but the lawnmower you do. also the lawnmower's noise isnt as annoying sounding to the non-r/cist's ears
