Trying to figure out which bit does what and what goes together with respect to front caster angle for the MP 7.5.

I understand I can buy three different types of front HUB carriers 17.5, 20 & 22 degrees. However the my manual states that the Caster angle can be changed by the upper & lower suspension holders which come in A or B, Caster High or Caster low. God nows what actually high and low is !

I am confused I can change the caster by both the Hub carriers and what seems to be the suspension holders. Does all this somehow fit togtehr in a clearer picture to what is currently somewhat of a blur to me

I think you're getting Caster confused with Camber. You are correct that different hub carriers change the castor angle, but it is the uper suspension arm turnbuckle that influences the camber.

There are three different angles relating to your tires: Camber, Castor, and Toe. I did a quick search in google and found this good link for you which defines them:

ok.. castor of the wheels.. is the rotation of the suspension relative to the gound.. meaning.. if you run 22 castor blocks, you will have a more stabe car than say the 20, or 17.. you will also be able to carry more speed into the corners.. but less out of the corners.. then the 20 block is a little less stable.. but has better exit speed.. and the 17's are worse.. i havent used them..

Camber.. we all know is the angle of the tires telated to the gound.. the more negative, the more corner speed.. but less stable on the straights..

Castor.. is the angle of the tires relative to each other.. meaning.. they face forward or away from each other.. the more caster (pointing away) the better the car goes into the turns.. however.. you lose alot of stability on the straight.. also speed... the less.. (pointing in) the less entering the corners you get.. but the car will be more stable on the straight..

Hope that helps

Thanks....I have now read quite a bit on the matter however the fact still remains

I can change the caster by both the Hub carriers AND what seems to be the front upper & lower suspension holders. (A & B) ?

I have checked the manual 1000 times and it states the front suspension holders change Caster !
