I am trying to figure out how to properly paint a Lexan shell with cans. I have seen some on youtube, but they didn't go into great detail, unlike with an airbrush setup. I understand the basics, but I wanted to do something a little more nicer. i wanted to add a "drip" or "tear" effect to the shell, but I don't know where to start using paint cans. Can I be directed to a link or can someone explain it to me? I don't want it to be a shelf queen, but I wanted something more original than what cane with the car.

This video series goes over how to the tear effect and fades and a bunch of other things. This is the advanced series though, Id go back and watch his original how to paint vids first. IMO

If you prefer, they sell paint masks in VARIOUS patterns and such, you can go with one of those, then go to work. I keep my sheels somewhat simple because I know within an hour of bashing, they not so pwetty...

All in all just remember, take your time & allow proper "dry" time between coats.
