I bought the Amazon motor/ESC combo but was having a problem on how to mount the ESC in the Slash. Any type of servo tape was out of the question due to the design of the chassis. Sooooo...I got creative with the materials I had on hand. The"bush fix" worked fine. But there was still a little too much movement for my taste. Then I broke out the left overs from a stereo install and came up with this dizzy. I even flicked it and said "That ain't going no where!" so now it's guaranteed to stay put! (I was a truck driver and we're required by law to do that or the load would fall off...it's science!)

Get some of this
https://www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-clear-double-sided-servo-tape-roll-1x40-ptk-2240/p510791

If you have a bit of a tumble, I can see the wire getting pulled out of those crimp connectors, in which case you ESC will go flying.

I have some pretty sticky tape on the bottom already for that extra sense of security...lol. The problem with the Slash is the chassis has a truss like support under the ESC. The stock one uses screws to secure it.

Oh ok. You should be good then.

I can't stress the importance of using a flexible pad to absorb the shock which will significantly increase the lifespan of your ESC.

There are many products out there, my personal favorite is "The Landing Pad" from RC Body Armor:
https://rcbodyarmor.com/shop/ols/products/landing-pad-protective-esc-mount

When installed properly, you pick up the car by the ESC and it will no come loose, more info here:

+1

I use hot glue lol
