That one would not. That's for 6-10 cell packs. Rx packs are 5 cell. You would be better off with a charger that does both. Others will chime in. I'm not too up on chargers, cuz I'm broke and need one. I can't stand to tease myself by pricing them.:)

would that traxxas battery and charger do just fine cause i am on a budget?

what would i use a drill for? the roto start?

Yes. It works, but most drills are a little slower than the roto start, so it's a little harder to start, but it's better than buying a battery right now if you can't afford to.

If you are getting a 5-cell rx pack, you will still need a charger. You can run 4 AA-cell batteries, but a 5-cell pack would be much better, and then you won't be replacing batteries all the time.

Any hobby shop should have them.

Darryl, just out of curiosity, I know you said this would be your first nitro, but have you ever owned a hobby grade rc before? I'd love to help you get into this, but I (and the others on the forums) really need to know your experience level relating to the hobby. Just asking, because it seems like you don't know alot, and I mean no disrespect.

sorry if i wanted to start a new hobby is there anything wrong with that?

You just seem to be having a hard time grasping what we're trying to tell ya. If you have no experience, jumping into nitro is daunting at the least, frustrating down the line and can get very expensive.

i have owned walmart brand rc trucks thats all. hope that helps.

i want speed in a truck and i wont buy an electric.

If you want speed, electric is actually a better way to go these days. The brushless systems are faster in many cases, and require no maintenance.

Savage Flux my friend. You can run it on nimh batteries to keep it tame while you learn, and step up to lipos in the future. The Flux on full power would be way more powerful than any nitro.
