today i took my truck out to take a crack at getting it running. after a little bit i got it running really good. no bog down at wot and what seemed to be pretty good acceleration. i would run it for a while, one time up to like 10 minutes (this is when i though i had the tune perfect) and then it dies on me out of nowhere. i need some expert help on this because i have absolutely no idea what could cause it to die after running that long.

if you need more info on anything i did let me know. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

You may want to take a look at your plug and see if its trashed.
Often when learning to tune an engine we go to lean and burn out the plug.

Its worth a look.

it does look pretty dull, but how could it be the plug if it runs great for like 10 minutes and then dies? i try to go richer because it seemed to lean by reading the plug but it just runs alot worse the richer i go.

i wanna bring this thread back because I'm still having problems and nobody really helped me out when i first posted.
i took it out again yesterday and was taking temps constantly. i noticed first it was getting too high (above 280) so i richened it a bit and tried again. then i got it running at like 260 which i though was good and it sounded alright so i went to run it and guess what, it stalled after like 5 minutes. for some reason i have a feeling that when it gets to half a tank it stalls automatically. when it last stalled i noticed it was at about half a tank. and i think i have noticed that before.
i have the new team losi tank with the back pressure inlet on the lid. the tank is brand new.

I'm gonna try to go out again today and see what happens.

i wish i knew an optimal temp for my fantom. maybe its between 260 and 280. maybe its less. the manual says between 240 and 280 so that doesn't help much. maybe its not even the temperature thats making it stall. i am so lost and frustrated, i've had this thing forever and i still havent gotten a good tune. i just want to use it already. guess thats what happens when your a newb

Post pics of your entire fuel line layout.

Also, 280 isnt bad. Some mills run better at higher temps than others. If you were pushing 320 and up I would be really concerned.

i have some pics up in my gallery of the fuel line layout. sorry they are so crappy, my camera sucks. you can still see it though.
