Servo companies especially.
I'm glad they include extra horn screws in each package.
Am I the only one that is grateful that when I drop on on the shop floor and can't find it I'M NOT poop OUT OF LUCK!!!!

I work over carpet. But I don't think it's any better. Anytime I drop something really small like that I figure it lost (although I look anyway). But if I do find it, it's like 10 feet away! I don't understand how that happens but it does.

When I can't find something small that I've dropped, I've often used the fuzzy logic of dropping another one just like it, thinking it will go to the same spot. Statistically, that theory will work 3% of the time. That leaves a 76% margin that you will also lose the second one, but a 21% chance of recovering one of them. 50/50 as to which one.
Point of fact: 46.7% of statistical numbers are made up on the spot.

2+17 ~6 -11%= 123?
Thanks Rolex, you ruined my night!

I guess my sarcasm got lost in translation.
How many extra servo horn screws are included in a new servo when you purchase one? Zero, Zip, Noda, Zilch!

I know everyone has lost one at least one time. You get an entire bag of worthless crap when you buy a servo you think they would give you an extra screw, something everyone will need at some point.

when i drop somthing I'm usually screwed because my work bench is in my room whick has a black wall to wall carpet and the majarity of screws on my savage and maxx are black. So yes it really does suck.

On a carpet a large magnet works. On smooth flooring or concrete I lay a flashlight on the floor and look for shadows.
There's a 67.3% chance of finding it.
If I'm working outside on the picnic table I get the little kid next door to look through the grass. His eyes are better than mine. I've used him so many times now that he thinks it's a real challenge to not give up till he finds it.
One of these days I should give him a quarter.

I drill out and retap my servo's so I don't have to worry about it. I have tons of 3mm screws laying around. I just make sure to have a tap and bit in my screw box. I don't even bother trying to use the stock screw in servo's anymore. That way, if it rattles out in the field, I just put in a new normal screw.

That is a damn good idea!! I recently tried using a screw out of a JR servo in my hitec, needless to say, the hitec aint worth poop now.. I wonder where I can find a 3mm tap?

I allways keep a magnet in my workbench, is very useful to find the small screws loosed on the flor, anyway is easy for me finding M2.5 screws here so I allways keep some in my scew case
