Sup guys,

Well.....I'm sitting here staring @ my beautiful new suspension set from UE. For the sale price of $179.00 they sure as hell weren't giving it away but I feel it was a fair buy all things considered. It also comes with Ti Turbuckles and Ti hingpins which I'll use on my drag race Maxx project or send them to a friend as I already have them.

Anyway.....I couldn't help but laugh when I was reading a little T-maxx blurb in an RC mag. SOmething to the effect of we'll take like 5...one for jumping...a street slammed maxx ect. Well, that's the beauty of the UE kit and the main reason I bought it..lol. I can slam this bitch down low with an awesome low center of gravity and even more width and stability for street racing and runs. Run it @ a medium height with a lower center of gravity for off road racing or crank it up for jumping....sweet. I now basically have three Maxx's in one.

The alluminum is 7075 T6 Aircraft grade. Stong as hell but their's still a theoretical possibility that I could bend an arm. Even assuming I could properly bend it back the actual molecular structure of the alluminum will be forever changed and strutural integrity compromised

THe point of all this. RPM as a company with their awesome break it and we'll replace it for free policy, we'll they kick ass. Their products are great and I'd reco most everything they make for the Maxx to anyone. I think it would be great if RPM made an adjustable Suspension kit like the UE kit I have now to offer Maxx enthusiasts the driving diversity and tunability that they crave.

So if RPM made a kit like that, would you buy it??

Peace

As far as I know, the only ones truly interested in suspension tunability are those who race their T-Maxxes. I for one have set up my Maxx to handle maximum pain...and thus do not require anymore tunability. SO, would I buy it? No, but there are those that would.

Hey Sky

Well I don't race in ROAR or whatever sanctioned races but my buddies and I race all the time. Often for money...having the ability to decrease the center of gravity and increase the suspension width is awesome.

I think their would be HUGE market for that product from RPM.

Peace

me too:w00t: i'd buy that setup in a heartbeat. right now if i want to slam mine i have to get some heavy duty zip-ties to acheive that, those aren't real cheap and that gets old after a while. so as for me and probably the majority of the tmaxx community hell yeah, bring em' on....if the price is right.

I'm sure they would sell tons of em if they did.

Id prob buy em.. I've only had my rpm arms for a littlewhile now but I've had a few hard core head ons thinking they would have broke by now. I'm sure the stockers would have.

i dont think that i would, i had rpm before i got my UE suspension and they were good and all but i dotn know, i just didnt really care for them. i love my UE suspension tho.

bryan

Just curious what didnt you like about em beside not being aluminum?

Did you break em, or something?

i didnt like how they bend so much. like i have one still in my tool box, i can take it and bend it and a pretty good degree angle.

bryan

Thats how they can give the grantee they do. They will give tons before they snap.. There always has to be some weakness or weak link.

I think Id rather break a rpm arm and have it replaced then bend a alum one and have to buy another.. Now if All the Alum parts had a rpm warranty. no doubt Id buy the UE ones.

no doubt rpm is a good company, and their, if u break it u can get a new one for free is AWSOME.

if UE did that same thing that would be the coolest thing, but i have yet to bend any of my UE stuff, and i am pretty hard on my stuff.

bryan

I like RPM because the arms don't break, or at least don't break easy. But due to the massive bending, i've busted 3 front shocks on 3 different occasions. I guess it could have cost me 3 stock arms and 3 stock shocks though... one of the 3 times was hitting a telephone pole at probably 35-40mph. I was almost at top speed with a 21.

I have bad depth perception.

Hey guys,

Bryan....I love my new UE arms and I can't wait to test them out but I bought them for one reason, Cause I can adjust them. THey do look perty as hell but I'd run an adjustable RPM system in a heartbeat. THeir's no arguement for UE metal VS RPM arms IMO. People that put non-adjustable Alluminum arms on their Maxx's aren't doing themselves any service bro. They can and do bend. The 7075 Aircraft alluminum on these should be strong as phuck though....we'll c when I get everything up and running in a week or so.

Olds....I'm gonna setup my beast with the UE 7075 shocktowers and RPM body posts. This way when it rolls the majroity of the impact is going into the RPM vinyl plastic which obviously has better shock absorption properties then alluminum. The RPM viny/plastic bends to much for my taste for a shock tower. I decided against the Dynamite conversion kit as I want a Titanium Chassis. I'm gonna get EBmods to mod a SIrio .18 so I have the sickest smallbore around these parts. I returned the MIP CVD's and amy getting the expensive and bad ass UE cvds.

Peace

I don't know how the UE setup works, but I'd sure like an adjustable setup like that, that you could quickly change from one to another without the aid of tools. I'm thinking of a clamp-type system like that on bicycle seat posts and wheel hubs. Something you could just unclick and click back and not have to worry about it coming loose.
My buddies and I race the trucks all the time, and it'd be nice to slam it down when racing, and then right after that 20 seconds later be off running full speed at the big jumps.
I think there would be a HUGE market for a quick, adjustable setup like that.
