Idle Problem?

It's not unheard of for an engine to idle a little high, then drop in RPM's after a blast of throttle.
I think your idle adjustment need's to be adjusted a little. Take your air filter off and look inside the carb. The carb should be open about 1mm.
If it's completly closed, or almost, thats your problem.
Still with the air cleaner off, adjust it so it's open just a hair more, put the filter back on, and starter up.
See how it idle's. Then play with it till you get it where you want it.
As far as it idling a little high, then coming down, you migh richen it up just a drop.
1/8 of a turn. Your temps are great, but you can't tune a mill with a temp gun.
Tune by ear and performance, then check with the temp gun to make sure your not too hot.
Let me know what happens.

I went racing this weekend and a friend looked at it he leaned the low speed needle a little more and would idle great. THANKS TO EVERYBODY WHO HELPED WITH THIS!!!

you could have the trim set wrong on your radio i did and it would open the slide. take the air filter off and see if your radio will open the slide.
