idle problem/savage xl

the hsn is set rich, I tried backing the idle screw but it shutts off,and the engine does get to hot as soon as that happens the idle tune goes crazy, could it be the lsn ?
 
If it shuts off while lowering the idle setting, you'll need to richen up the LSN. Running the LSN too lean will also cause a rapid overheat that the HSN can't compensate for.
