I have an X-terminator deluxe and I want to put monster tire on it. I have 17mm axles ( I think) what monster wheels will fit? Thanx

A truggy is a Monster Truck / Buggy hybrid. The Ofna Dominator is a good example. Another one is the Thunder Tiger EK-4.

Yeah. If you put the Storm and the Storm Unlimited Truck next to each other the only difference is the MT tires.

the ofna Dom. tires will work great, plus they are off set alittle to give you a wider wheel base. Once you have changed the tires you will have to change your gear ratio's to make up for the heavier tires and such.

So the wheels for the OFNA dominator will fit on the XTM Xterminator. What gear ratio should I go with?

Heres a dominator Extreme kit, I am considering this as a next build, cute little thing isnt it?

I like this fat ass metal spur!

I was gonna get the Dominator wheels for my storm, but I thought about it some more and liked the way the extreme kit looked. Any dominator owners out there please feel free to comment about them, I would like to know more about The extreme kit. Thanks

Wow. That does look nice. The only thing that I am not so sure about are those braces that go from the center diff to the front and rear of the truggy. They look kinda weak.

Is that a buggy or a truck? Are the axles on the storm and the hyper 7 17mm?

I'm assuming that you currently run a 13 tooth CB and a 43 tooth spur which is a 3.31 ratio. If you drop one tooth on the CB it would give you a 3.5 ratio. You could try larger spur gears, but changing the gears only depends on what you want your truggy to drive like. Lots of low end or lots of top end.

you could get the ofna wheel adapters so that you could run any type of t-maxx style tires and wheels. They also give you a wider wheel base.

Yeah, I thought that too, but a closer look tells me they seem to be pretty beefy. pro line is offering a conversion kit for the extreme,
For every Proline OFNA Upgrade Kit purchased, OFNA will supply: 1 Rear Brake Kit & 1 Center Differential... which is over a $100.00 value!! (Must provide valid proof of purchase, plus $10.00 shipping and handling)

I have more reserch to do yet, I have been trying to decide what to build for three weeks now, There is so much coming out at once its getting harder every day, now If I had an unlimited budget!!! it would be no problem!!

The gear ratio will have to be changed. When I converted my MBX4 I think it was a 66T spur. You may also want to consider some wheel adapters so the wheels can turn without rubbing the chassis.

GS Makes a really neat conversion kit for the Storm to the Storm Unlimited Truck. Comes with a pro chassis, some new shocks, new truck bumbers, etc, and the wheels.

You can see the kit at http://horizon.hobbyshopnow.com/products/description.asp?prod=GSC2007

I think I'd like to have a Truggy too =) They look like they are just a lot of fun.

Attention. This information is Redundant. Please don't be mad at me for mentioning GS again, so far it's all I know!

I'm just finishing up a mugen JT racing truggy.
only thing left is to figure out what body would fit the best.

The GS Unlimited MT bodys are nice & they come with a rear spoiler! Plus they are made for "Truggies" my 2 cents

Steve

Where can I find that wheel adaptor, I looked at towerhobbbies and hobbypeople?

Truggy

Since the first time I read about the GS Storm I wanted one. Now that I have one I couldn't be happier. And I have other MT's this is by far the best one. This truck has power, handling, strength and good looks.:bling:
