yeah yeah, i was took my good ole time getting it on the track. but i raced the truggy today. off power it handles really well, turnin is pretty sharp, lots of steering. on-power it drives like it has a center spool. it just lays down a rediculous amount of power without diffing out. you kinda have to line it up with where ever you want to go before you give it full throttle. once your setup in a turn you can apply throttle pretty generously, and it will follow the line your on with just a bit of push. overall id say it was a damn successful first outing with this setup. i placed either second or third, not sure which, but i did get a payout. theres still some more setup i can play with in the truck to dial it in even better. oh, and the track was even a new layout today, they added an over/under during the last week. ill be stopping by on wed to help smooth things out, widen sections of the track, and just get it flowing better with the new layout.

Yes that thing is pretty hooked up. I would say it works well. To say you have tons of power is not an boast. That thing flies. I dont think you need to regear OR put a different pipe on that thing. A 13t would make most if not all the buggys look slow on the straight! Just shows that my truck is way underpowered.
As for the track, I dont know if they will keep the over/under for all the people dislikeing it. I just dont like the way/where it was put. I was on the ramp side of the stand driving your truck and the sight line SUCKS from there. I would say take off the screening, knock the ramp up some and call it a day. No rolling it.( as I did several times) BUT taht could get ugly there. Either that or take it out alltogether.

Cool...sounds like I got the same result from my truggy last wed night too....off power it can U-turn on the same lane...under power it just plows in a straight line like a beast....had some braking issues w/ mine.....what mill are you running??? I'm done w/ th efantom already....I think I have a case that's too big and not keeping ppinch.....have you ever run a center diff'd RC w/ only one side of braking???

i have a 3 port Top .28 in it. i also have 80% of my brake bias to the rear, those big tires have enough bite that rear braking only is plenty to slow the truck, but i mostly use it for quickly rotating it. the truck has enough power and traction with the center torsen, that if i punch it on a high bite section of track it will pull the front wheels up.

I ran mine w/ only front brake cause I was too anxious to get it going.....well it was locking the center diff up real quick so now I have a plastic cup full of metal shavings from my gears...........I need to grind a little bit off my rear brake cam so it will let go after I apply the brakes.....Also going to go w/ heavier fluids in the front/center diffs too (10kfront/30k center) but drop to 2K in the rear...I have 5K there now, WAY too much push in the turns......I take it since you are running the rossi .28 that's thestomper MT engine huh??? I'm running my VZ-b now til the O.S. .30 is a little cheaper......it's geared low so I need a High RPM mill...what's the Rossi spinning???

i prolly only spin it up to 30-32k rpm. its a torque monster, not an rpm motor. i still want to play with gearing, on it. 30k is way too heavy in the center. I'm running 10k-torsen-3k now. i may drop to 1k in the rear to help control on power push.

I wanted to run 30 cause I don't have a torsen center.....no seriously I was unloading like crazy when I first built it, but now it seems to have been tamed by the gearing......so I'm just going to try 30 and see what I get....I'm finally at the point where I can play w/ the Diff fluids and shock settings more to notice the difference.....before I'd change somethign but I'd have running problems that were keeping me from seeing what the effect was......U think 30 is too heavy?? I figure it would act more like a truck w/ a heavier fluid...at least more like the way they pull from the front if I had a spool in it (I used to spool the front on my maxx for racing, it kicked ass that way)...I have 30k & 10k now as well as the 1-2-3-5-7 oils for the buggy....I'l try mixing them down to get 15k and try that first I guess......

I know my HB lightning unloaded easily towards the front when I got it. I'm not sure what it had in it, but it just looked like grey snot when I cleaned it out and put OFNA 50K in it. Now it damn near wheelies with the OFNA blazer tires/wheels on it.

It will still turn on a dime if I ease up on the throttle. But when on the gas, it steers about as sharp as my t-maxx used to when I had it.

I had 30 in the center of mine, and now I'm using 10k.Seems to work much better for me.
