Wow. just finished airbrushing my first body. Very simple, 3 color piece, and holy crap, i suck at painting.

At least it fits.

We all have to start somewhere and for a first time run, I dont think it looks to bad at all. I know that if it was me doing that body, it wouldnt have come out nowhere as nice. Keep up with practicing and in no time you'll be laying smooth lines and creating masterpieces. BTW, I really like the 3 color idea and if your really not happy with it, soak it down in some break cleaner to remove the paint and try again. Anyhow, congrats again on your first try and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of your improved work in the future, dont get discouraged.

All come on it dosen't look bad, I have seen far worse, I mean have you seen that body Rolex is doing its practicly falling apart with rust every where, just kiding LOL!!!! but hey it dose look pretty good. just keep practicing and you will get better with time just like Rolex, HA HA HA HA!!!!!

my first few bodies sucked too, and i still kinda suck, lol
you just made a bashing body, you know how many of those i have? lol
pratice, you'll get better
and oh yea, i hope your a better cop than a painter! lol j/k
just keep practicing

Ya gotta start somewhere, right? It takes a lot of practice to get used to using an airbrush. I still recommend practicing on clean 2 liter soda bottles for everyone. It really helps...

Thanks yall, for the kind words, it hasnt discouraged me to keep TRYING to paint, but it actually looks better in the pix than on the rig. Its got all kinda weird stuff going on under the surface.

God i wish that newb with all of the painting ideas could help me. (sigh)

yes, like Candyman said, this takes practice. You won't be doing masterpieces overnight. Just make sure you learn something with every body you do. You'll get there. :)

Dude don't get dark on it just because your first shot didn't come out the way you want, hell most people never even get up the courage to give it a shot so you're already better at painting then most people! Keep it up and lets see some more creations.

The orange, and black stripes came out very well, i just think i might have thinned out the silver with the fleck in it just a little too much, i think that might be why it looks all runny.

nah man thats pretty good you learning how to get use to the techniques and poop ull b a beast one day look at Rolex

Yeah and your not that great with a camera either. ha ha actually that body isn't all that bad I've painted much worse than that.......Actually my painting is still alot worse than that. I'm going to go cry now!

Yeah man, looks pretty good to me for the first try!! I only hope that my first time comes out that good, it would be a lot easier to improve from there than where I think I am going to be at LOL!! I have a new brush and hope that it works out for me okay.

Another thing i didnt have was an ezacto knife. All i had were straight razor blades. Hopefully next time, i will better prepare.

exacto knives are nice to have, also get a pair of curved body scissors, there awesome for cutting wheels wells, dubro makes a good one

Yea, i got some, i havent sanded the edges, or put stickers, errr decals, sorry, on yet. I'm going to Florida as soon as i get off work, so that'll prob have to wait till i get home monday morning. Unless i get the dremel out with a power inverter on the way...........

I have seen far worse, I mean have you seen that body Rolex is doing its practicly falling apart with rust every where

LMAO!! Hey, it was an old truck, and I wasn't prepared for a total restoration. May it rust in peace.

For your first paint job you really got into the masking. That's what takes a little getting used to. Masking the windows and then doing a one color shot is usually the best starting point.

As long as you keep your pictures dark and fuzzy, we'll continue to give you good reviews.

Ensure you don't mix them paints on accident.
