LMAO! thanks, thats what I'm here for, popping other peoples bubbles. how'd i do? lol

So What if the reserviors are plastic. Who in here cares?

I have driven one. Not impressed!
It is kinda slow and clunky feeling, has tons of suspension deflection. Stock steering servo is garbage (not nearly enough power to turn the truck effectively), was Pre-Stuck (!) in first gear.

The shock reservoirs are junk, just plastic to look at, non-functional. The grab handle DOES NOT PROTECT the head, we smashed the head and top fins pretty badly on some fairly minor roll overs. Tore the rear bumper off with minor contact with another vehicle.

I am not impressed, it looks nice sitting on the shelf, but after all the hype and all the time spent waiting, I think the T Maxx has it covered quite easily.

Just my opinion though.

P.S. In my opinion, this truck the shoddiest Associated Vehicle to come down the pike. It is the RS4 of the Monster Trucks!

based upon my past experiences with AE products, I'm gonna discount the previous post until i see it first hand. i have a hard time believing that AE would build anything labeled as junk

yeah, i was thinking the same thing but I'm kinda new to this so i dotn have a whole lot of experience

i don't know if it's good or bad. what will make the decision if more than one says this? if it keeps going and everyone says it's a pos, then maybe i'll have 2nd thoughts about it , but until then this is 1 neg. post in how many hundreds of posts? hell, i don't like the tmaxx.:D

Now that I’ve read all the post that metallicamaxx has posted about the MGT I’m selling all my RC’s and buying a T maxx. Thanks for the input at one time I thought the savage was better but you have corrected me on that assumption.

Freedom,
Please stop shitting on every forum that includes the AE BFT.
We all know your feelings on the truck even though they are at this time unfounded.

You have been warned 3 times by mods. 2 times by me and once by SkyMaxx.

You are entitled to discount anything you like. I drove the truck. I am not impressed and if I were AE, I would be embarrassed to offer that thing to the public.

The damage to the truck is fact. The motor wasn't even broken in yet and was running horribly rich, so you can imagine the speeds at which we are talking here. There is no way that truck, sashaying back and forth could ever dream of being raced, much less winning against a T Maxx. A bone stock T Maxx Vs the BFT is apples and oranges.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but again, I drove the thing. I am not impressed. I am not a complete rookie driver. I race on road Nitro and electric on a weekly basis. I have been around the hobby for a while and if you look at my previous offroad trucks and buggies you'll see I don't have bashed up junk.

I am NOT bashing AE here. They make excellent products (I have 3 RC10-DS for the family to play with) and I am not on some bash AE vendetta or something.

Brutal truth here fellas, sorry if it stings a little.

What MT comes with shocks you dont need to replace???? Give me a model? Also what MT came with a reliable fast engine stock? Also what MT came a badass FM radio stock and a badass steering servo stock? I like the layout and design and that is where the truck shines.

I agree with you on those points Blazer. But what was the need to put fake piggy backs on the shocks? Why not just leave them as normal shocks instead of trying to trick consumers which imo is what they are doing by putting non functioning parts on the truck. I have seen one in person, I did not get to drive it, but I was not in the least bit impressed, sorry.

They were defintely hitting the newbie market with the fake piggy back deal. I am a little disappointed myself but you got to figure the MT market is different then the rest of the RC market in my opinion. It attraacts a broader scope of people that are new to the hobby, all I can say is hopefully they make a kit model for the old pros like us just like HPI did with the Sav. There are at the point that they are still trying to recoup for retooling and R&D for the truck.

and don't be sorry I am not asking anyone to like it or try to sway anyones opinion on it.

Ok, maybe you guys could tell me the difference between praising a truck that you have never driven, or many of you have even seen in person, as opposed to bashing it, it's the exact same thing. Is it great for the mere fact that AE made it? cmon now. NA you stated a while back if it wasn't ae it was crap, when you were bashing the t-maxx. This was just before you sold both your RC10 and TC3, now your on the bft bandwagon, is it just because it is AE?. I simply stated I have seen one in person and was not impressed. The misleading of the resevoirs just put that much more of a bad taste in my mouth for this truck, what else looks good on this truck but does nothing? I guess we will soon find out. As far as the only people saying anything negative are those who already purchased a different truck, that's CRAP! I have two Ts, a xxxnt, and a Savage SS is on the way. If I wanted one I would get it. I think AE tried to hype this truck for far too long, now it is going to be very tough to live up to the hype in a now tough market with more than one choice. How many people do you think are going to sing its praises just because it is AE, and because they just spent over 4 bills on a truck that really may not live up to the hype, a lot!. The people I will be interested in hearing fron are the guys that have had the different trucks, Savage, T Maxx, Mad Force, not the newbies who this is their first truck, and not a biased magazine article either.

my bft will be here tommorow....... to me every truck has problems.....

.but a t-maxx just isnt a t-maxx to me unless you turn it into a Super-maxx.....and personally i havent got 2000 bucks to do so.......

my maxx came new with bent shock shafts one of them didnt even want to push in when i took it off and tryed it by hand...........the tranny screws will most likely not retightin for you after the first time you take them out.......the screw heads strip really easy...........if your lucky you might get a 2.5 without a leaking carb.....i couldnt even get my maxx to run hardly till i finally bought a new carb for it.

i just hope the bft is a better truck in stock form....Associated has been around for a long time and my past products from them have always been nice
