Well everyone, i have to share my experience with all of you.
I took 2 week's off work so i can relax and possibly gain some compassion for people agian. I now know what its like to be ROLEX, i walk around the house pants less, i monitor the site, i surf the web, i clean my rc's, i push on all 4 corners of my Tmaxx to mimic driving on a rough retain to get a feel of what happens to the right rear when the left front is compressed or when it's under load or doing a two wheel stand. I reposition it on the shelf to give it the best look, i drink coffe and so on. Hell i wouldn't take a shower if i knew the wife would still give me some loving. This sucks, i never thought i would ever say I WANT TO GO BACK TO WORK. :(

I know exactly how you feel. In the summer time I am a commercial lobsterman and we get done around December. Since then I have been putting around the house doing nothing. I got about another 3-4 weeks until I start working my second job, which is working at the boat yard my captain owns.

It's actually gotten to the point where I occasionally dream about being out on the boat in the middle of the summer hauling (catching lobsters.)

I'm in the same boat as Andy. I get laid off in Nov. every year and sit around the house all winter just to go back to work in March......go from 60+ hours a week in the summer to nothing in the winter. I go nuts myself at times.

alpine, tell me about it, I've grown to hate people and thats so wrong, but they keep giving me the ammo to keep doing it. After 12 years of dealing with complete idiots (usualy the same offenders/victims) you just want to scream F you, get a life and stop calling me.

Best part of being in the CPU (criminal patrol unit) we don't take calls. We go out and look for the trouble.

I'm In the gang and tactical unit, also a SWAT member, i respond to all gang related incidents, and any major crap that happens, not only in my town, but to all surrounding towns or when needed for SWAT. I have to park my car, chang into my SWAT uniform and get on the truck and go. Thats why i look foward to getting a suspension when i "mess up", its a free vacation.:D

poop boy I get two weeks off every month, I will admit when you don't have money it gets really boring and I'm ready for my hitch to start. Then a week in at work I'm ready for my two weeks again. It's a never ending battle of go to work and make money or be home possibly broke and have to put up with the girlfriend....lmao

Oh i have vacation time, currently about 6 weeks, i never get to use it, but i have it.

Right there with ya man, haven't had work in a month other than one one day gig. Get so bored.

I've been unable to work for almost 3 years now and trying to get my disability benefits has played a toll on my mental state terribly. I'm still in the appeal process of my hearing and its just a waiting game. I guess they are just waiting on me to give up. I have no choice but to continue trying due to the damage in my back and hips. It even hurts me to go out and stand up while running my rigs for any period of time. To make things even worse i been diagnosed bipolar and I'm having to take care of my grandmother who has dementia and seems she does everything in her power to drive me crazier. I keep thinking it could be worse but then again i dont know how much worse it could actually be. I'm already in excruciating pain every hour of the day and the only out i have occasionally is my RCs. As far as tolerating people goes i lost that ability long before this situation. I have absolutely no tolerance for stupidity at all. Maybe its best I'm stuck around the house all the time because the world is full of stupid people with no respect or courtesy for anyone but themselves. I have a bassett hound that stays with me all the time and he is a better friend and companion than any person I've ever met.

I do that as a favorite pastime. :D

Been there. Being the primary caregiver for someone in that condition is the most thankless and stressful thing you will ever do in your life.:\

It's good to be me. :D Damn, that's good coffee.

A couple of months ago the president of the residents association here stepped down and I had to move up from the VP slot. No new VP yet, so I've been running myself ragged around here. Whatever goes wrong after hours when management or maintenance isn't around, I get the call on top of bank business and everything else involved. The treasurer can't walk or drive since she's dealing with a shattered femur all pinned and screwed together. On the bright side, I have one of the world's best secretaries.
I need a vacation. It must be good to be you. :p:

I was waiting to hear from you. This was supposed to be about me running aound with no pants on.:hehe:

Rolex, you need a vacation? You've been on a permanent vacation as long as I've known you....

Wow... I don't see how that's legal! 5K hours stacked up!?!?! A typical work year is around 2k! lol

My company doesn't allow you to roll over vacation days, so use em or lose em. I lost 8 last year... really sucks considering my average work week has been 60 hours for the past year or so. Got to love downsizing... and salary.

Glad to have a job, but this is getting nutty. This was the first day since Christmas that I stopped working near the 9 hour mark. Seems like I played hooky!

This is when 35yrs old feels like 45yrs old...

Nikko is not wearing pants and I am.
I had to put them on since the building fire alarm went off and I had to check. Fire trucks are just arriving, but it's not on my floor.
No doubt another idiot fell asleep while cooking dinner.
