Sorry to hear about your nephew. This stuff wouldn't be bad at all to start with. It's really similar to what I use.

My only suggestion for a newbie is to get a gun with a larger cup. The brush in the 2nd link has a small cup for what you'll be using it for. I have something similar but only use it for detail work like dropshadows and/or small shading. For coverage the other choices are much better.

what about a water trap? do i need one with a bowl on the regulator?

so i guess i have alot to learn so i can use it.
i have to read the forums about different kinds of paints and what colors to back them with and stuff like that

If it's the one pictured in the link, it's already on there. If yours doesn't have one then you will need one.

sorry to hear about your nephew!!!! Since last week when my gram went everybody was telling me she is atleast without pain and with loved ones.. I hope you feel the same way with your nephew!!!

can our painters tell me where they buy there supplies
i am also looking for i think its called frisket paper to make my own custom masks
let me know what you guys use and where you shop
thanks!

i have never tried the liquid mask, but i was looking for the sheets that you get with body with the window masks cut out
maybe someone has info on that or something similar

thanks i just order some stuff from coast airbrush and i will check out the other stuff

No problem. The guys at Coast are great. I use them for anything I need for my brushes. Good luck on the new endeavor, be sure to post up whatever you paint. And btw, very sorry to hear about your nephew.

is there a chart somewhere that tell you what colors you back another color with?

what about how to use these?
Iridescent Colors
Fluorescent Colors
Opaque Colors
Pearlized Colors
Transparent Colors

i am really lost

Just like most others I would say find some scrap lexan and start messing around with different sprays, backings, shades. I'm sure guys like NC Nitro were in the same shoes you are now at some point and look at the types of things they can spray now!!! Dont get frustrated... get sprayin!!!!!

A good material to practice on is a 2-liter bottle cut open and then washed. Works like a charm and is a good way to re-purpose material.
