dont pay attention to my username...I need help on buying an rc truck. I was looking at the Rustler and the RC10GT RTR. I wanted to know which one is a better truck (durability, driving, handling, repair ease, etc.)

I had a RC10 and they are very good trucks. Quick, durable, and a blast to drive. They are pretty much race ready also. I don't know much about the Rustler except the new one with the 2.5 is supposed to be really fast. Somewhere in the 50 mph neighborhood.

I love my RC10GT RTR, after the A-Arms I've put on it, and the bulkhead... I've learned RPM makes some of the toughest hardware out there. I'm MORE than happy with it. And for bashing, Oh my, it's awesome. I always have my friend beggin me to drive my RC10, cause his stampede won't do half the stuff my RC10 can :) Such as jump 10f flat :)

what is a 2.5 engine speaking in "normal" terms (such as .15 or .21)? Will a .21 engine fit in a rustler? If I get the rc10, what engines can I put in it(when the original gets worn out). Also, this will be my first nitro truck and I'm looking for one thats easy to maintain. thanx

Well..

the 2.5 a .15, and almost any .12 or .15 motor will fit in either truck..

It's more of a personal preference. I love my RC10 and would recommend it to anyone.

As for what the "word to mouth" is... Seems like the rustler is one helluva fast truck.. The losi xxx-nt is a great handling truck, and the RC10 is a mixture.

But I'll stick with my RC10, do a little research, find out what you think. :) Each person goes with a certain truck for a reason, that's because it's what they want. I want you to figure out just that. :) Have fun...

If you need any "technical" information that you really want to know about, post back. :)

Good luck, AoD

Look to see what your local hobby shop supports.

Rustler
AE GT
XXX-NT

I prefer the XXX-NT If you are going to race you just can't beat the handling, and the GT if you will be doing more bashing. There are tons of aftermarket parts.

You can't go wrong with any of the 3.
