In February of 2024 I got a new engine for my Traxxas Revo. I was on vacation and tried to break it in. The climate is a very dry and hot desert but it was humid and rained that day. The engine would not run like it’s supposed to. I tried tuning it and it just wouldn’t run. The engine I got was the dynamite mach 2. I haven’t touched it since. It’s now November and I’m wanted to get it going again. So I’m starting with a bad tune, in a different climate, and the engine is not broken in. Where the hell do I even start? How do I get it running? How do I break it in and tune it?

Assuming there are no air leaks, and nothing is hooked up wrong, I'd start with a new glow plug. Even if you just put a new one on, ziplock this one and get another. Also make sure you got the right plug.

Next set your idle gap to 1mm. Do you have a manual that has the factory settings?

I do have the manual however on factory settings the engine never ran properly in February.

Nitros don't run great in the cold anyways.
Have you tried to start it as is?
Returning the carb to factory settings might be helpful if you were chasing a bad tune when you put it away.
New plug just to eliminate that as a problem (buy a few) and get some brand new, fresh from the SEALED bottle, nitro fuel to work with.
Keep your old stuff to try AFTER you get your tune and break in done.
Traxxas break in procedures are pretty easy to follow once you're running.
