Cool, I think that may be what the guy was running here at the track. I liked it. I'm about to just buy this 3.3 revo from a friend for $200 and build a 1/8 kit over the winter, so that is looking like a strong contender.

Thanks for the suggestion, maybe I can hit you up for tips when I get the kit. Nice looking buggy too by the way, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the compliment. By the way, you can find a lot of info on the D8 on the RC Tech forum, if you are interested. On that forum there are much more D8 racers, including Hot Bodies factory drivers.

Regarding the price: Currently you can get a discount at Tower Hobbies of $75 (coupon code 014HG) for orders over $300. For the D8 this means that the price is even under $300 (current price at Tower without discount is $359.99, although the discount of $75 might only be for international customers, not sure). Not that RTRs are crap, but I think that the D8 is a much better deal.

There are MANY MANY parts for the X1-CRT and if you look on e-bay there is a company called dragon something that makes some good uprades that are real cheap. Or just look at the King Headz stuff on A-Main.

The X1 CRT is an excellent choice, (X2 is better) and is a great handling truggy with, as stated, a HUGE supply of available parts and hopups...
The ebay store you're after is dragon racing, and is quite cheap.
For example I bought a set of alloy rear toe blocks in 2, 2.5 and 3 degree for I think $18. Whereas they are like $11 each on A Main, my next favorite store........:first_place:[/QUOTE]

I agree the X2 is much better than the X1. I only suggested it as it seemed he was concerned about the price. I ordered a Dragon Racing chassis to try on my X1. I think it will do the job just fine. If not no real loss at $28.00! LOL

After running my SC8 I would highly recommend the RC8T, because if it drives anything like the SC8 it's gotta be awesome! hehe

Ended up trading my RC18T for a FT RC10GT2. It had everything needed plus more for being track ready. Has already won several races, so it's up to me to keep that trend going.

I would have to travel if I did decide I wanted to actually race a 1/8th here.
