OK, my buggy screamed at first and I loved it. It is a new OFNA ULTRA COMP LX with a OFNA .26 on it.Then it got to where it started fine but would die after a minute or so, then it got to be shorter and shorter run times. Now it turns with my Roto starter but has no sign of it hiting a lick or trying to start not even making a sound just spining and not a thing happing. So now will a bad OWB cause the engine to die like it was and now not even try to start??The engine is about a quart old and has great compression and did fire right up great. The engine says OFNA .26 does that mean it is a force or a Picco or what?? The engine is round, purple and has 11 fins and on one side on top it says OFNA and across from that it says .26. Here is a pic

Thanks a lot!! Any questions please ask!!

Tuning it with the factory settings is a great start. Try that. If it is still hard to start move towards the clutch. It may have a clutch issue like a spring broken. That can play havoc on your starting.

When does it die? during braking? off throttle? on throttle? at idle?

If if just started happening out of the blue then I would say Jon is on to something. If you have a broken clutch spring then the clutch is always going to attempt to engage, even at very low engine rpm, so when the car is still the clutch is trying to engage at too low of an rpm and it will stall the engine

I took it apart and the back plate is fine so was everything else. I cleaned all around and then cleaned the OWB and put it back together. It fired right up with no problem then died. So again I fired her up and drove it for a few minutes then it died. I reset the HSN leaner, but when I went to start it the same spining happened with no signs of firing. So tomorrow I will get a new OWB. But she has alot of compresion which is good since it is new.I think it is running to rich it spits fuel. When I reset it I put it at 2.5 turns rich, but I didnt get to try it out. Anything else I should do?

If you can hear the piston popping and you know the engine is spinning, it's not the one way. If it just hums or whines and you don't feel the vibration or thumping of the piston compressing with every stroke, then it is.
If it's rotating the crank and it won't start, make sure you have a full charge on your igniter, then start with factory settings and lean each needle about 1/2 turn and try again.

MC8 is the proper plug for Ofna engines. ofna says not to use O.S. plugs, plus the O.S.'s are shorter.

I went and got a new OWB and she fired right up. NOW it is getting her to keep running. The O.S LC3 starts it but she dies in a good 10-15 seconds. I am going to try an A5 since it is a cooler plug. Then I am going to get a MC8.

A new OWB and running a different GP an A5 and its fine. Next I am going to a Mc8.
Thanks guys

try putting it on a stand and keeping it revved and running long as possible engines revs usualy die down once its warm. try raising the revs
