I am either selling my old nitro rush or giving it to my dad to fix up and race. Should I get a XXX NT Adam Drake or an Adam Drake 2. I can't decide. The D1 I can get for like $240 without a motor. So I preaty much am gonna do that but I was wondering what kinda motor I should get.

Drake 2 all the way. This thing has all the new options on it such as the quick wheel change. Graphite parts, titanium turnbuckles, etc etc....

But the original D 1 isnt bad. It will still hold its own easily. I was in the market for a .12 not too long ago. I am assuming u want to race?? How much money are u willing to pay???

I hear a great motor is the fantom FR 12, but it has the turbo head which i believe makes it not roar legal, turns it into a outlaw. The Diablo .12 is really awsome, u can find it on stormerhobbies.com for 65 bux!!!! This motor had the highest top speed at the nitro dirt challenge for 1/10. I also saw it in a mugen that a pro driver was driven, this thing hauls butt. I will be picking one up for my stadium racer as soon as i get a chance. Trinity Evo 2 is suppose to do pretty good, but a bit pricey, 200 bux. And then u can never go wrongwith an O.S. motor, awsome reliablility, great tune, long lasting and tructworthy, fast, everything u want in a race motor. The cvr and tr are suppose to be pretty awsome.

I strongly suggest the Diablo though, due to price and is still a hauls ballz motor. 1.25 hp, 34000 rpms. Long lasting, i was even told by the pro that he can usually get 12 minute run times with a 75cc tank with this motor. Goodluck

Well money is not the issue I just need a reliable car because my last one sucked! So I think I am going to go with the Drake 1 because I can get it for so dang cheep. O ya is the OS .12 cv-rx any good. A friend told me that I should probubly get one of those.

Which friend? lol. DUDE that sucks that Fantom FR12's r not roar legal!!!! :spit: I was gonna get that motor all along!!! Maybe Amain wouldn't care. If they do care i guess I'm just gonna get the .12 TR and hope for the best to find parts if it breaks. WHY CANCEL SUCH A GOOD MOTOR? It doesn't make sence.

Sorry to break ur hopes Buggy racer, but i am not 100% it is turbo head, if it is, then it is not roar legal. But yes Electrikid3, the ).S. cvrx is a very good motor. Not as fast as the tr .12, but that is discontinued. If ur going to get serious though, get a little better motor, such as the trinity evo 2(Drake runs this motor), or a wasp, the diablo .12 is good also. But in my personal opinion, the 1/10 nitro class isnt all about power as is with other classes. Just dont crash and break, be consistent and hold a powerband all the way around the turn.

I ran the .12 TR in my Drake 1 and it has all you need plus more. These trucks are so light its hard to put all that power in the ground. The TRs have the mid to high end you need for this kind of racing. The others mentioned above are good as well. OS has the reputation and the track record to back it up as well as the ease of use mentioned above. If I were going to do it again my choice would be the TR.

Yeah. Is the TR turbo? I didn't know Turbo's were illegal cuz 1/8 Buggies use them all the time like the V-spec.

Eric The Friend Was You, Lol You Told Me To Get That Last Night At The Track.

If you are planning to race, get the OS .12 CV-R and get a starter box. 1) the losi xxx-nt is a race truck and was not designed for PS motors and the motor mounts are for non-pull start. 2) PS motors have a shaft going through a bronze bushing in the back plate that can and will cause an air leaks that will adventually make it a bi*ch to tune. 3) if money isn't a problem, go for the Drake 2 with the OS 12 CV-R, but you will have to get a drake 1 exhaust header for it.

PS: I was going to get a TR when I got my CV-R but the guy at my LHS said the TR wasn't roar legal either. Anyway, my xxx-nt drake 1 has way too much power for our indoor track with the CV-R but I'm gonna see how it does on the outdoor track soon. It sure screams in the yard though. :breakdown

LOL why can't the fast engines be roar legal?!?!?!! WHY can't I WIN!?!?!?!? lol jk. I guess ill just settle for a .12 cv-r... lol i can't win with rc.

Sure you can... you know, there are .21 conversions for the GT... lol.. they wouldnt even let me race against the touring cars!!!
