Today has been a bust for me. What I thought was going to be a pretty simple project has turned into a nightmare. Our Gorgia office is the last one to get the VPN hardware required to talk to the inter-company network. I have computers sitting here that can't use because of Windows security and the lack of communication between domain controllers. The project was to simply install the VPN hardware and ship the computers. One thing I kind of remembered at the last minute is they have a Linux machine doing mission critical stuff with SMS messaging, remote Satalite units and email. Even a 1 hour break in the Internet connection (required to do this) will cause all hell to break loose. To make matters worse the Linux server is administrered by an outside party. A lot of TCP/IP changes have to be made to it for it to work. So they have to be involved. Now they are talking about getting seperate Internet Service for the Linux machine and doing all the changes on a Saturday.

Ugh... I'm working through lunch and heading home at 4pm today. Two more bloody hours and they can't pass quick enough. I'm just fed up today. :(
