I have an old Team Losi NXT looking for help.

Hey. I was cleaning out my attic the other day and I fould my old Team Losi NXT i got back in 99'. I forgot why I stopped using it, but after looking over it was because there is no trans. I blew up a gear back then and guess just lost track of fixing it. I have been looking all over and sadly found out all the parts have been discontinued. I need a whole trans. I found a site where a guy has a frame with trans. He wants 109.99 for it. Anyone has a trans or know where i can get the old parts for it? Thanks ChrisI

Perhaps the best way to get the gear is to look up the part number and check ebay. If you don't have a manual, check Team Losi's site here:

Scroll down a bit and it's there.

Remember, their part numbers are in the form of "LOS#####" (#'s meaning the numbers in the book).

Next, take the part number and head over to eBay, and type that in on the search. If you don't come up with results the first time, check the "search title and description" box right under the typing spot and hit the search button again.

I have search ebay. I know during the gen of my NXT there are 3 models that parts can be interchanged. The LXT, NXT, and the GTX. I was able to get the part # from the site but no luck on ebay. In either models. I was searching ebay the other night all night and no luck. Stinks caus I only used it a few times. Shouldnt have jumped to neighbors 2nd story window. Ha

I can find the gear i need but i can't find the trans its self. I need the case and everything in it. I have been looking into using a case from another TL car. maybe a xxx-nt or something else. It is hard finding a complete trans. I need someone with an old trans or wrecked truck. Thanks

I should have mentioned that I lost the old trans. If i still had the trans I can get the gear. I searched for it in my attic but I have moved since I broke it and lost in the move.

Ah, so you need the whole trans? That may be a little more difficult, but not impossible. You might be best off calling Horizon, or maybe Losi directly.

I have been emailing people selling LXT NXT and GTX parts and found a guy that had a LXT trans complete. I had him email me some pics and it looks like it should fit as it is the same frame. He did make a ebay auction out of it which kinda stinks caus now i got to wait a week for it to end. Hope it works or I find a NXT trans

The LXT trans case might be your only issue; I would look at both exploded diagrams and compare numbers. While it might not be the correct entire transmission, it might give you the bulk of the parts needed to get your truck going again.

Team Losi doesn't even have the daigram for the LXT. Ha oh well. Guess ill get looking on google. On the site the GTX has the same trans. Got to find a GTX. Thanks

From what I saw on google, the LXT is an electric truck; right off the bat, you'll need a trans case at the very minimum.

I did find on ebay a GTX that is very cheap. So i hope i can get it.
