I have a 3.3tmaxx having problems starting. I've replaced air filter also glow plug it seems to be turning over fine it has a ez start system that I will be changing over to pull start later. But glow plug and power light comes on, on the remote. New gas as well no old gas also pulled glow plug and blew inside out but trying to start it without it in it? Anyone have any suggestions? Thx

How was it running before you started having this starting problem. When I had a problem starting mine I richened the LSN slightly to let it get a little more fuel & that seemed to work, but mine wasn't very old & had no air leaks anywhere. You could also try putting needles back to factory settings & start tuning again, also reset the idle gap to between .7 & 1mm when you re-tune. Check that there isn't any air leaks in the fuel system (tank, fuel lines, carby etc) & in the engine, like the front bearing, cooling head etc. make sure all screws are tight to. If there is to much oil in the air filter it will restrict air flow to.
Just really need to check over everything, make sure its all seals & air tight. Check the wires are connected properly as well. could be any number of things that can cause starting problems.

Thank you I will check all those things. It ran pretty well before, it had 10tanks ran through it before I got it.

I have done away with the blue wire on all my Traxxas engines. If the battery pack is not taking a full charge it may not provide enough power to the blue wire. The Easy start system is great for turning over the engine and much easier then a pull starter.

One thing you can attempt to do is cycle your battery pack so it will take a full charge again or do what I have done is purchase a Glow Plug Igniter. I have to cycle my 3000 NiMH packs a couple times a year. If you have a NiCad pack they will hold memory if not cycled more often than not take a full charge.

I had more starting problems than I can list until I purchased a Glow Plug Igniter with the easy start system. Never had a starting problem since then unless the glow plug burned out.
