I got in my car to go and help my sister learn about her new cellphone. As I reached to put on my seat-belt (yeah, I know, it's a large reach), I found that it had been cut! Some anal orifice had cut my seat-belt! WTF?!?!?!? Why would anybody do something like that? I got the local PD to come and make a report on it for my insurance, but it still sucks.

It was locked. The seat belt was hanging down a bit from the door.

That blows my friend. Nothing is safe out in the open any more. You work to keep your stuff nice and you get idiots like this who have nothing better to do than vandalize other peoples stuff. This country is going to hell in a hand basket. I had my squad broken in when i was on a call, they took my bag that had my night vision binoculars, a ticket book, a. 38, gloves and some flash lights, cuffs and so on. Almost 3 grand of stuff. Now thats a set of balls.. Alpine is correct, it's going to hell fast... My question is, why cut a seat belt, i don't get that at all, did you piss someone off?

probably just some punk kid who was board and had nothing better to do. Myself and one or two of my friends used to do stupid poop like this when we were teenagers, roaming the streets at night....yeah, I didnt have enough supervision when I was growing up....luckily I grew up and out of juvenile behaviors.....well, at least the ones that hurt others anyway lol

i think that in some states not everyone is allowed to put in seat belts. but that my be old info. if the car is not to old the dealer may be your best bet.

I took her by the local mechanic and he quoted me $500 if he could find the belt at the dealer or a salvage yard (my mechanic doesn't mind doing salvage parts for some things). I'm going to take to the insurance adjusters' and just have them deal with it. I might see it next week some time.

That's insane. Go to scrap yard, get them for $50 then put in yourself.

Find one yourself and install it. If you can't find one at a scrap yard, you are bound to find one online.
