I HATE These Gears…Any Fixes?

It seems like these gears are very weak. Any suggestions on how to make it more durable?

Whats happening here? The pin is not doing its job and not securing the gear onto the shaft? Or is that the actual gear the teeth are getting stripped? I rarely had any transmission / diff gear issues with my cars so not sure.

Heat it red then dip it cool a few times would be my go to. After that, Robinson Racing or a similar mmanufacturer

The little pin holding the gear in place is broken. I think this is the second or third one.

I would go FLM first. Solid piece, stock replacement.

I believe the 272R Magnum one-piece input shaft/gear (TRA9494) should fit and is a worthwhile upgrade for the 272.

Never mind. Fixed it with a part of a drill bit.
