I have found that those that are really, really anti-nitro are usually lazy types who are scared of the challenges nitro poses, although nitro these days is anything but challenging.

Youve apparently neveer fine tuned an electric bl rig on high voltage. You can tweak and tune an electric nowadays 100x more than you can a nitro. All i used to run is nitro, till i discovered just how much more superior electric is power/reliability wise.

Nitro is $52 a gallon here, and has been for a while. Not to mention my brushless truck will smoke any of my nitro rigs that I've ever owned. I'm totally gas or electric now. Heck if I keep the Baja long enough, it will pay for itself in fuel savings.

Zomg a gallon of sidewinder 20% race is 26 bucks here. Why is it so expensive?

yeah electric is good fun expecially with the kids so you dont have to tune 3-4 rigs at a time everytime you go out for a couple tanks with the family.. But nitro is alot of fun and the sound helps. it really helps having more fun with it when you are bashing by yourself!!! They are both fun and they both have their ups and downs!!!

I used to run nitro all the time until I moved into a small apartment and have no room o safely store my nitro. Electric makes more sense in my case as does gasoline because I can use whatever is left over from the session in my brother's-in-law weed eater. (And yes that is the correct spelling.)

were rural out here and i run nitro and my buddy runs electric. we both run off the t-maxx platform and honestly theyre both great for different reasons. in my case though i have chill neighbors who think the cars are cool beans so i love my nitro and as long as I'm rural i wont switch. that being said if i lived in a city i would run electric.

I was always nitro, nitro, nitro but now with the brushless systems the electrics are way more simple and will smoke the hell out of the nitros. The new waterproof systems help a ton too, thats why i bought the VXL Summit, its beach friendly.

I bought my roommates Jato from him so now I've got that, the VXL Summit and the Savage Flux HP... I sold my Savage X

Like I had said before, I love my nitro. But my buddy now has his savage flux hp (once he sold his savage nitro) and man is that thing crazy fast! I would love to have an electric for their simplicity.

Theres no real word to describe the Flux. The best i have been able to do is 55 MPH (GPS Calculated) with 1/4 throttle left but i kept running out of room. Even at over half throttle too much more throttle and it pulls the wheels up or flips over. I've got the XL chassis on it now and it should help tremendously when i actually try a speed run again.

Well since we started all this ,I to like nitro for the same reason I like a 70 Chevelle over a toyota prius, imo just way more fun

That is like comparing a harley to a moped.

If you were to compare a harley to a hayabusa, then you would be a lil closer.

Yeah not even a way to compair those two. Nitro is fun for the sound and such but I have to admit there is no way to compare the (instant) power and speed of a fat brushless system.

I find that there are advantages and dissadvantages to them both. Electric is more robust and lasts longer. nitro sounds and smells better, not only that, theres no waiting for charing. for me, nitro is easier to work on and upgrade as opposed to electric.

Easier to work on and upgrade? Not sure how. Lets throw tuning out the window, obvious difference there and not in nitros favor. Then we're left with chassis and components which are usually near identical. Like I've said, I love my Savage, it's a blast to drive and listening to that nitro engine scream just can't be beat. But I do enjoy the simplicity and the charge and go that electric offers.

you see, these are opinions, you can't call an opinion to question or call it BS... thats why it is an opinion. I have spent more time repairing nitro rcs than i have electric, hence why I find it easier to work on and upgrade, all the electrics i own are still standard where as, my uncles nitros are the ones i have had to repair and upgrade... but clearly, no one thought of the fact that maybe i just don't work on electrics half as much as i do nitros....

So the opinion that nitros are easier to work on is valid, but the opinion that that that statement is BS is not a valid one? Seems a bit contradicting.

No the opinion that my statement is BS isnt wrong, it's an opinion, and as already stated, we all have and are entitled to our opinions, but the fact that the opinion of someone else is been called bs is wrong, the whole idea of an opinion is that it is that persons own thought wich means that persons thought can't actually be BS although the gropunds on which that statement is based could be wrong. Hope that makes sence.

Ok, it's my opinion that your taking this too serious. He and I disagree with you. Dont let it hurt your feelings...hope you understand that.
