I got a phone call while driving this morning so I pulled over to talk and write down a phone number, I was almost at a complete stop when I hit a huge hole that was so deep the front bumper hit the ground. The bumper bent and pushed into the fender and headlight, that whole corner is out of line....this will be the first claim I have to file in my 20+ years of driving :(

What was the hole, a fricken canal!? That sucks Pete! And your new truck at that.

Bummer.

At least your airbags didn't deploy on you.

Oh man, that really hurts. Be thankful for collision insurance, even though you'll probably end up paying it all back in the next few years.

The road I was on doesn't have a shoulder so I was basically on the edge of a ditch, the hole was about 3 feet deep and about 2 feet wide...The tire never made it to the bottom! I thought about the airbags, luckily I was only rolling at about 2 mph!

Rolex I'm hoping that the 14 years of loyalty with no claims I gave them will mean something.

That's sucks! I'd cry if I did that to my truck.

I gotta ask though, how can you not miss a hole that size?

The road I was on doesn't have a shoulder so I was off of the road in the grass, plus I was yapping on the phone.

Well, there you go. Talking on a cellphone while driving scores another victim. Seriously, though, at least you weren't hurt and the truck isn't totaled.

Thats why i just stay on the road to talk on the phone.... pulling over always causes problems.

Seriously though, dude, that sucks.

That sucks!! If it were me I'd get a new or used bumper, check or replace the headlight and run it. It looks as if the fender is ok, just the bracing behind it got tweaked slightly. You should have been texting not talking......jk;)

Pics of the hole please :).....

If only it didnt happen to be a almost brand new truck it wouldnt be that bad.
