I bought something that pissed the "war department" (my wife) off. She usually is pretty good about the hobby, and as long as she doesn't see all the receipts, things usually fly under the radar, that was until Saturday. I went into the LHS to buy a servo saver. I ended up getting a new CV-RX for the Maxx. Needless to say, the war department wasn't too happy about that one. "why do you need another engine?" I still haven't told her about the NTC3 yet, but I haven't started building it yet, so there is no need just yet. The funny thing is I am moving in less than a week and have already packed the dremel, and I can't find it, so I can't even cut the shaft until after I move. What can ya do?

Smack!

Tisk tisk Eddy, lol. But I'm happy u got a good mill for the maxx. u dont need a dremel! I used a hack saw to cut the shaft of my mill. just screw the prop nut it comes with all the way down before u cut, that way, when u screw the nut off, it smooths out the threads!

yeah - chalk it up to another one of "not paying attention days"

I seem to have alot of them

Sounds cool. I just purchased a new CV-RX for my Maxx as well. It should be in today or tomorrow. I can't wait. :)

It sounds like you need to practice your super secret ninja skills some more so the war department doesn't catch wind of your purchases. :)

Tell her you are writing reviews for RCNT now and they have sent you some stuff to test and keep when done testing. The NTC3 for instance :wasted:

Now were are on to something, either that or we are on something.

"Yeah honey RCNT wanted me to build this car and give reviews on the build process. Yeah I get to keep it. Why because I am Nitro Dave."

Its funny how you mention Eddy and this topic applies though. We were talking to his wife (nice ass person) about our T-Maxxes and she asked if Ed's Cyber Maxx was expensive.........He says"no not really" and Ed and I looked at eachother and giggled.

there is just no need to give them ammo.

Eddy - You were able to build the CyberMaxx without your wife finding out the cost of it. Now that is impressive. I would guess you have at least 2 grand invested into that.

Ed a slick F@#ker dont let him fool you. He's got it on lock if you know what I mean.:mex:

Stay low...so as not to be detected......

Yeah If hes THAT good I think imma fly out there and take some lessons from Eddy. Have like a 3 day workshop or something. I have resorted to keeping everything at work and sneeking things back home peice by peice. Yes...I know.....I'm :whip:

:hehe: yeah baby - I'm so glad I'm not married. I only answer to one person - me.

Hey Eddy - I found the perfect smiley for ya! ---> :whack:

6 vehicles later, all hopped up and 1 complete custom, all done on the tab of RCNT and Friends. Just because people like me darnit!

LOL!

The LHS doesn't even give me receipts any more and the brown bags are big enough to roll the top edge down like a lunch. Then, they stay in the car until night fall...... let the smuggling begin. :hehe:

Hey dave, I forgot to tell you (too late now) but I was gonna telll you to get an sg crankshaft so you can still resell the engine if you ever want to. Cutting the shaft brings down the value hella since it can pretty much only fit on a ntc3
