I cut out my windshield...

i pierced a nice hole with a protractor and used the other sharp end to graze a nice round scrape and kept rimming around it a good 20 minutes then done a quick 2 minute job on the inside after that you just find a spot it is severed at and peel the rounded shape out just comes out cleanly.

I bought a hole bit just for that purpose. I don't put anything inside to block any incoming debris, although, I do like the look of it. Then again, a screen like that is going to disrupt incoming airflow quite a bit.

Here's what i did added some look as well as working hood scoop ha:D

you have got to tell me hos you made a scoop. i tried to make a roof scoop on a 911 bodyshell for my hpi out of a red kandee ketchup bottle. using fire, superglue and candlewax. at first i thought i could melt the curved section of ketchup bottle to an open hole of lexan bodyshell. the bodyshell true to thermosetting plastics shrank and burned slowly. the melting ketchup bottle slice just went soft but wouldnt bond to the lexan and just fell off the moment it went hard so then i tried adding glue. the glue was runny and wouldnt dry and trickled everywhere away from where i applied it. then i tried to fix the thing in place with dripping candlewax on open holes and after that got superglue to sorta try varnish the wax in place. it couldnt have looked any messier but it did go in place.
so how did you do yours?

I'm a welder lol TIG welding professionally now so i just cut thin peices of aluminum and welded them together the buffed out the edges drilled some holes wha la.

I used a hole saw back in the day, but now I either use scoops or nothing at all. It's easy to cut a little scoop into the wheelwell. I hate a hacked up windshield.

you can also cut fins into the back windows. gives it a racing car look. but would lower bodyshell durability alot. i did this on the back window of the 911 and bent each one to give it the veined effect. looks class and not much different from the real deal.
