Forget eating good food while on vacation in Panama, I can live off ramen noodles. I am about to order a Kyosho Inferno MP 7.5 Sports/GS .21R. I have been debating about this for a week now and finally decided I am ordering one this afternoon. I had strongly debated about getting a kit and build as I go but I finally decided to get one before I leave. I guess this means I am going to have to get it sent overnight and pay the additional shipping cost and have to play a little then leave for a month and play some more... Here's a link. I am also planning on getting the options that Tower recommended for a radio needed for the set. I have a ton of AA batteries and more than enough glow plugs to last until I leave. I guess I'll have a new toy to break next weekend when Sky, my roommate and I go bashing.

Sounds cool EP. Make sure you take some pics when you get it. :)

I thought you wanted to hold off on the buggy purchase till you got back from Panama?

I could live off tomato soup and cheese sandwichs. :)

Nice choice. I've ran Robriguez's 7.5 and it does everything u would expect from a buggy. Good luck and have fun!

Let us know how that MP 7.5 Sports holds up. Are you able to actually upgrade it with parts to make it a K2?

I'll go ahead and bet that you break it the first day right after you finish breaking it in. The title of your name says it all.

I figure I'll jump off that bridge when I get to it. Even if I am limited to the # of upgrades I will at least be able to buy a decent buggy that is not too expensive and also has some fairly decent stock parts included. If I find buggies and I do not get along then I'm not out a ton of cash like I would be had I bought a Kanai edition or even the kit that runs $400 minus engine, radio, pipe, header, etc... For the price I guess I really can't go wrong.

I can also experiment with a bump starter too.

I just got finishing with my inferno last night. I picked it up Friday night and worked on it since Sunday night. It's my first buggy. I tried to break in the new engine (OFNA picco 26) this morning, but I have to go back and do some adjustments. Engine kept cutting out.

Any bets how long it takes me to break it?

I say something will screw up during the break-in process, but you personally will break something in the first 5 tanks after break-in.

I just got off the phone with Tower. Additionally to the Radio, I also ordered a Futaba 9405 servo for steering. I think I need to get something that does not need a high torque servo because I literally have a dozen low torque servos laying in my tool kit for emergencies. The grand total with overnight shipping, the kit, radio and high torque servo was $700 and change. I can't wait until Friday. My boss already said I was getting released at noonish since I worked 5 hours of OT last Friday, little does he know I did take yesterday and Monday pretty much off anyway but I have earned a little sham time. Come on Friday....

Here's an update of shipping. I live in Newport News which is only about 30 minutes from Hampton. Tower said it would not be here until Friday. Wouldn't that be a hoot if it arrived today instead. I know I'd be a little heart broken because I was so looking forward to it being here tomorrow but I think I'd live.

Thats cool EP. Anytime I get something from FedEx I usually always get it the day before the estimated delivery date.

In my experience with Tower, their estimated delivery date is generally 2 or 3 days before it actually arrives. So if I am bitching about Tower's service, well yes, they do have the redeming quality of having tons of stuff on hand whenever I order with the exception being my last rc I ordered.

I'll spare you all the details but the gist of it was ordered an RS-4 MT with the optional accessory kit that included everything you'd need to run it. I paid for overnight shipping and the package arrived right on time. They included a little letter saying they were out of stock on one small item, the RS-4 MT. Here's a ton of parts that you can't do anything at all with because you don't have the truck to put them into. I was a little stressed as a result.

that buggy doesn't stand a chance. el will make little buggy confetti out of it. :D
