I too read the Drake.net forums and I don't disagree with his opinion about the stress on the idler. But, I put the "compound" idler in (at the same time) and haven't had any probs at all. I havn't seen any durability issues with the idler either. I mean its plastic and the diff is metal.....it will strip first no doubt but I havn't had that prob. I have seen some peeps with that problem but they all ran the slipper tight as all get out and when that was corrected they no longer had the problem. Mostly the strippage occurred in an uneven or WOT landing which would put tons of stress on any tranny. I replaced the diff before learning that I was running the slipper too tight. Loosening the slipper will ease the stress and would probably help the tranny strippage problem even with the stock parts.

Drake is a masterful driver and a great wrench and I watch all his threads, but with any advice I take it and try it as well as others and do what works best for me.

Go with what works best for you.. I personally use the rrp products throughout my diff and rebuild (atleast take apart and clean) before every race i attend.. I have'nt had diff failure since i have been doing this.. In my opinion regular diff mantinence is a must.. just my 2 cents.....
