Yeah, originally I was going to get the LST and a single Mamba but I like the idea of the 18B better.

Can't wait to solder up that pack and try the Mamba! Any other hop ups needed right now?

Revo! You thread stealing bastard!! Just kidding. Congrats on the purchase. So, tell me about the motor you bought? What does all the upgrades that you bought do?? Make it faster? Faster in the bottom end/top end? I should marry someone with money so I can afford more toys! Oh wait I already did that!! LOL. Really though, teach me oh wise ones.

Day before Thanksgiving, went in and bought an 18T and 18MT. TWO 18's! Gonna drop a Mamba in there here shortly, once I get my Revo race ready! I refuse to look at Zandor's thread simply because I will then be forced to, at a minimum, keep up with him and ultimately outdo him, which has become my mission in life.
Buying just one a whim...geez, get back to me when you're buying multiples!

I don't think you can outdo Zandor. I'm sorry there buddy-boy but he's way, way, outta your league! Did I get you to bite??? You should look at his thread. I'm sorry but he's definitely not a rookie. Just trying to get a competition going.LOL.

Notice how it's always the people with no money that want to see the people with money spend it. I don't know either of you very well (yet). But I think Zandor has the upper foot here...Come on! Sorry, Kelly, not trying to steal your thread.
The GP 1100 7 cell batt pack will give it more volts (8.4) and longer run times.
The Mamba is s brushless motor that is an absolute terror of a motor for the RC18's.
The 60T spur and 15T should give it more top end and keep it from flipping over everytime you punch it. Stock spur is 55T. The new gear cover is to accomodate the 60T spur.
MW, I had the Mini LST sitting there waiting to go too, along with the Losi factory hop up motors for it, but then I thought I would wait and see how the Mamba works out and if I am very impressed I would convert the double motors of the LST to a single Mamba.

Hugo, I have every intention of hopping my 18MT up, once I finish up my Revo and Savage and hopefully get my RC10GT running (close!!!!) Just trying to focus on a rig or two at a time. Last time I had four rig projects going at once, it got really confusing in my workshop! Enjoy that 18 you got, they are loads of fun!
Zandor, I broke down and took a peek at your thread! Man, that is one pretty little MT you got there! I have to ask, where'd you fine those rims/tires? Those are wicked looking! May be hitting you up for tips, if you don't mind!

Oh, I lucked out. I never checked the box to see what Mamba kit I got. The box reads Mamba 25 Competition 'X'. I did not know that had more than one version. Checked their site and turns out this is the 8000kv. And I thought there was only one model. There is a 4200, 5400, and a 6800. Plus the 8000. I guess I did ok too on price, as I paid 119.00. Castle shows it as 159.00. I still might go back and get the USB cord as I use Castle BL on my Combat Wing as well.

YES! That is why I am so surprised. It's model CM 2080 and Mamba 25 ESC.

So I've heard. I made one mistake, though. I got he 18B, the one with the buggy body. There is no room for the Integy heat sink I got for the motor. Gee, guess I will have to get another one, an MT! Or maybe I will get the FT heat sink motor mount. Think that will work well enough, Zandor?
Ahhhhhhh, I was so close to picking up the Mamba 2080 at the LHS today! I was there to pick up my Savvy reverse module (still not in, darn it!) and there is was, staring at me from in the case, calling me, "buy me, put me in your 18MT, don't let Rancher and Zandor out do you, do it!" BUT, no UBS cord, so out the door I went (except for some half-priced Integy skid plates for my Revo!)

MW, you don't need the USB cord to program it, it just makes it easier.
I've heard it makes it so much easier, so I'll try to find the whole smash at once. Thanks though! Did you get yours in yet?

No, it's not installed yet. The heatsink I bought for it was the Integy one and with the "B" body it will not fit, so I guess next day or two I will go to the LHS and get the FT heatsink/motormount.
