Alright, I'm cleaning my storm as usuall and I wanna clean my bearings really wella dn relube them all. So Everything is going good and all, until I got till my hub. Ok the little pin that goes threw nut that the wheel slips over(sorry dont have my manual and dont know the name), well anyway that bitch is stuck! I've pulled the allen screw that goes threw the center to hold the pin in place, I've sprayed WD-40, I even heated the nut up with a blow tourch hoping to expand it so the pin could fall out. Anyone have any ideas?

Heres a picture

Do you have a small pin punch and a hammer to drive it out. You could also try a hammer and a small nail. It probably just needs a little help.

I was using a allen wrench and a hand of a screw driver and they wont budge. just found anothe rone witht he same problem.

If it is like my PBS (I think they are all the same) once the allen is out of the center the pin is just sitting there and should slide out, unless you have some grit in there or maybe a bur on the pin from the allen set screw. I would still try and get more of a diving force on it with a hammer and something straight and a little smaller than the pin. Then give it a good whack and see if it wont move.

It's exactly like you've explaine dbut it sbeen threw hell since the last pull of these allens, pins and bearings. I'm putting them off till my mom isnts asleep and i can beta them witha hammer tommorrow. I did however strip downt he entire buggy and spray it down with Mean Green, scrub and hose it off at 2am, lol.

Ya you don't want to wake up the mom, they can get mean. If all else fails buy an Ofna buggy...............LOL
I think it will move once you can use some force in the morning.
Oh and dude do you ever sleep?

Damnit to hell, looks ad if I'm gonna need a show rebuild....all 4 rods are slightly bent and I can't seem to get those old top rubber piece s to seal for poop....

My dad works swing 12 hour shifts, and when he's home at night he forces a 1:30am sleep time for me. He's weird about me waking up past 12pm(which I dont, I wake up at like 8:30 everyday) So anyway he's on night shift and my mom dont care....her view is.I'm not doing drugs, drinking and driving, I'm in my room safe where she knows where I am, and she dont have a care int he world....only if she knew i have the propane tourch in here too....

Anyway I'll try again tommorrow mourning i guess

Hey there Waste Land did you get that pin out today???
Nope, lol. Dad was alseep(like i said, working ngiht shift and has to sleep during day) so I left cut grass, hit the skate parka nd went to a pool party, lol. I did manage to ahve my LHS check into a shock rebuild kit so I'm happy.

I'll dow hat I can tommorrow, if not ill do what i can for the bearings from the outside of the thing.

I have a hyper 7 pro and I had the same problem, What worked for me was to put the hub in a vise and tap it with green handle allen set tools that came with the car. Or you can make a permenent tool by getting the same pen that goes thru there ,I forgot the part number. and have that taked to a pair of pliars . then you can squeeze it out. :buggy1: :buggy1: :buggy1: :buggy1: :buggy1: :buggy1:
hopes that helps

I've been trying that but havent had a chance to hit it hard since i work on my car past 1am. I'll try it once my dad leaves for work here in a bit if i dont end up going to the skate parka gain.

Dont try to give one hard wack:whack: . give it some nice taps to inch it out, then grab it with a pair of pliars to pull it out . If you hit it to hard you might damage the pin - make it a flat top and it might not go back in or worse hurt ur self in the process and break something else.:thankyou:

I'll prolly try to heat the nut up again with a blow torch to expand it before trying it to take off some of the pressure.

by the wya man, I'm not trying to be an ass or anything but, dont use so many animated little smilies or buggies, it's against the rules.

If the set screw is backed out then the drive pin is probably bent or burred.

As has already been suggested, a pin punch (nail will do) and a small hammer is the way to go.
