RCTalk Racer
Hey fellow Rc'ers,I got a HPI Trophy Truggy. After some run time,I figured I would do a write up. Out of the box,the suspension is to soft. A little tweeking and all is good.
The stock engine was removed.Installed an LRP.28 with full mod.Coupled with an JP-2 tuned pipe. The engine mounts will need modded a little. First grind both ends of both mounts and you will have to raise the mount a little. I used 4 nuts to do this. I placed the nuts first and then placed the mounts on top of them.
Upgraded steering servo. The stock failed on the first week. Used my radio system. After 3 months of putting her through the paces. I would have to say, very well built.Soars and lands those huge jumps. So far nothing has broken. And I have crashed it,on some of those hard landings. Would handle better with diff, wheels and tires. In the process of finding adapters, wheels and tires. That will work. Taking suggestions. All in all, great truggy at a great price. A diehard HPI fan, could definitely turn this is to a racer.
