Does anybody have a hobby store near you that sells HPI parts. The one in Reno,Nv never has any parts.

What I'm looking for is HPI Part # 87114e. It's the gear for the motor of the roto start, the one that the set screw tightens down to on the motor shaft. What HPI sells is a 5 piece part a-e for $30.00 friggn bucks. I only need the one gear. Part # listed above. If your going to strip one, that's the one that's gonna strip the most, Not the others. So why can't they just sell the one part. And yes...I think I stripped it by Hydrolocking. If..I said If I keep hydrolocking, Which I'm going to try my damdest not to.. that's gonna be like a slow bleeder man..It's gonna kill me eventully at $30.00 bucks a pop.:ponder2: I wonder if a pull start is the way to go. Those are only what..$20.00. So any ways, If anybody knows of a hobby store that can get that ONE part let me know.

Thanks Guys

Hey Nev,

In the meantime you can use a cordless or corded drill running counterclockwise to start your Savage. Put it on the high speed setting if possible.

hey, i think iv got one. Lemme look. gimme a PM and I MIGHT be able to hook you up.

I'll check around here, brother, and let ya know! The one nearest to me actually carries many HPI parts, so chances are they'll have one. I'll be in touch!

Thanks MW That would sure be a big help. It amazes me that these hobby shops sell the product, but yet don't want to stock any parts. I would think that would be where their gonna make their money.
