Yeah, I have spied the Hot Racing stuff. There used to be a lot more goodies for the Jato though. Kinda sad since they still sell the Jato.

Mine already has aluminum shock towers and a few other aluminum bits. But no, not nearly as much stuff like that. There used to be a lot more, like aluminum trans housings, but @johnnydmd has cornered the market on them, so finding one these days is pretty darned impossible.

I bet I could find all that, had I the incentive to do so

I have found exactly two over a period of two years. They are very hard to come by.

Got a new brake kit and alloy pulleys ready to go on, I also wanted to use this opportunity to adjust the 2 speed clutch to factory settings

Pulled out the factory gearbox

New (left)

All buttoned up

So today I began working on removing my super light 2.3mm upper deck, here it is

It’s a great piece, but I’m replacing it with this ultra rare eagle racing deck to match the rest of the car

It’s a huge pain to remove the upper deck, all these parts have to come off

While apart I took this chance to switch out the Philips screws holding my steering servo in place of some hex screws with washers

Aaaand done. Hardly noticeable but small details add up (eventually)

I found the lightweight version of the rear gear shaft as well as some lighter engine mounts.

Pulled everything back out for the billionth time

I did some cleaning to the engine and adjusted the clutch, and then put in a new turbo plug

Old mounts compared to new

new mounts are on

Heavy factory gear shaft compared to new hollow hara shaft, which now makes my car nearly half a hara edition lol

All back together after the damn E clips shot across the room into oblivion

I’d like to get hara gears eventually

And once again back in one piece

What's this Hara gears you mentioned? The cooling head and header look wicked together.

The normal R40 has mod 1 gears the Hara gears are 0.8 and so therefore much lighter. There are some for sale but the price is a bit too high

The car no longer has that blue foam bumper it’s back to stock

I scored a really rare piece that I’ve been looking to find for a year

Oh yeah, carbon battery door > plastic

I also put some new wheels on the car to freshen it up
