So since the belts on my super nitro build were so good I ordered another set but for my RS4-2

I also got these alloy mid shaft uprights from Cross

I stripped the anodizing and shined them up along with some custom made aluminum pulleys

I began stripping the car down once again, check out how bad the belts were

I also restored this old steel mid shaft and gave it a nice shine. Before:

Everything going back in

And one step closer to completion

Bought a matte carbon fiber Y brace, gpm gearbox mount and some titanium ufo head screws

Alloy servo mounts, gonna strip the anodizing off

Removed the gear shaft, tensioner and various other items to de-anodize

Much better

I finally figured out the linkage situation, all is good now

So I got around to finally painting and stickering the body

Not sure if anyone remember but I did pick the hpi Celica body #7440 for this specific build

I also put my own special twist on it by using a hard plastic wing in place of the lexan

I took the stock fixed links and cut them, drilled them out and turned them into adjustable turnbuckles

I also went back to the OG chassis lol and added more titanium ufo screws

Has a fuel filter now

I’ve been procrastinating about finishing the exhaust system so I decided to tackle it finally.

I bent some nylon fuel tubing and made a wire mount for it. It now exits below the rear bumper of the celica.

This is just a prototype right now

The black ones were some cheapies from eBay, unbranded.

The white ones were from an R40 I believe

This build is pretty much complete now. I’ve changed out the shocks, added nerf bars, adjusted some linkages and worked out some minor kinks.

I’ve been waiting 6-7 weeks for my exhaust tip to arrive in the mail and it’s not here yet so I assume it’s lost. Ah well, this is as far as I can take it
