Build Thread HPI nitro mini Rs4 - my build

This is my nitro mini Rs4. Spent about 500 for it on eBay in super dusty condition. I rebuilt everything and put in new oils/grease in necessary areas. Engine has gone through usual rebuild as well with fresh oil. It is a S-12, stock from factory with a new upgrade heat sink. The chassis is stock except for body and body mounts. All the electronics have been replaced with futaba servos and a tower hobbies radio system. (I chose to go old school for this build and went with AM, I have a venom smart temp failsafe so no worry for runaway.) The chassis seems to have only a few minutes of runtime, and is pristine after going through cleaning. My favorite part about this car is the fact that I can view the temp and voltage on the failsafe through the rear window of the body. Spent a lot of time on this build, hope you guys enjoy.

looks great! awesome to see it keeping true to the vintage aspect. the HPI mini Nitro RS4s were definitely something else, very unique cars

Yep, it's the one I used in the build.

Gotcha. I've been looking for a new chassis since I got this one. It's the only part that doesn't look brand new.

Looks like you've got a nice collection and seem to favor red.

I do favor red, but I have a green body and black body too. I just made it to match my 1:1
