hpi 5.9 in revo, can i jb weld the backplate hole and use bump stary?

The engine wont fit in my bb revo, can i remove the one way and shaft and jb weld the hole in the backplate to run bumpstart? Let me know gonna put the jb on if you guys give me the go

I don't know how jb weld will hold up to the vibration or the fuel. The thing is, if little pieces of that end up inside your engine of it breaks up, your engine is pretty much toast. I think I wouldn't chance it and would look for the correct parts.

You might can cross reference that engine with another for a bump start backplate ,you
can try checking axial or the 4.6 Hpi K series engine ,they share the same starter ,shaft an oneway bearing!...
