It should be around 215-220, no higher than 245 F at the glow plug. Another thought... could it be in Celcius and not Farenheit mode? If it's in Celcius, that sounds about in the neck of the woods you'd want.

If you take the temperature at the top of the head, it could literally be a huge difference.
