Festivus for the rest of us!!! lol damn i forgot about that episode....

wasn't it just a alum pole?

Well home construction has kicked Christmas aside this year.
My wife and kids are moving to her mothers house for a few weeks so no tree.
When things are normal, we put up a nice fiber optic fake ass tree.
I don't even have to put lights on it.
We had a real tree catch fire when I was a child so I will never put one up.

Keep them watered guy's.

George! Castanza!

And yes, it was just an aluminum pole. And Kramer quit the whole thing at the end.

With all the trees around you up there in bear country you can't find one variety that no one is allergic to?

We always get a fresh tree. Cats love it, half the ornaments are on the ground after the first night. I used to bring it home on the roof of the company leased car but with just getting a brand new one, I guess I can strap it to the Denali. Certainly won't fit in the Wrangler or the Volvo convertible.

The way she reacts its not even worth trying. When she reacts here airway closes, not good!

Anyone else here actually go to a tree farm??

The Tree Farm is a big event for my family....load up the three kids and head out to the Christmas tree farm....You grab a hacksaw when you walk in.....walk around acres of trees and cut down the one you want....dude has a big ol' funnel set-up that you shove the tree through and it puts that nylon mesh stuff around it like in the lotus photo. We are usually there at least an hour or so...guy provides hot chocolate and candy canes for the kids and has Christmas tunes playing in the fields. Can't wait we are going Saturday!!!!

Mr T

Yea its always been a big event for us too. We grab the saw and all head out, we throw it ontop of the car and bungee cord it down haha. Theres always an argument as to which tree we get haha. None are all the great, se we usually go for the 'coolest' looking tree haha.

I'm surprised as to how many people are alergic to xmas trees.

Yeah we used to do that also. I'm happy with my fake tree. It looks real!!! If I walked into my house right now and didn't know anything about the tree, I would guess that it was real minus the water and the smell. 2 years ago, our tree tipped over and ruined a lot of our ornaments and pictures that it fell on. They got all wet.

We don't celebrate holiday around here...We celebrate Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Me and my dad use to have a tradition of going and getting the Xmas tree from the tree farm, but now my mom bitches about how shes still vacuming needles up in June, so the last 3 years weve had a fake one that blows. I miss the "Pine tree" smell. And the little tree car air fresheners just aint cuttin it.

We always pile into Brutus...The Tahoe from Hell and head out to a tree farm we've been going to for years. Got the Poulan all gassed up, ready for action! Always go the day after Thanksgiving, that way I get a jump on the prime trees! Set-up is a lot like Mt. T-Maxx mentioned, Christmas tunes, hot chocolate...the works!

It's too bad some folks have allergies to real trees! Yeah, they can be a mess and you have to be smart about keeping them watered, but nothing beats a real one, in my opinion.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

We always carry ours. No need to load it up when you sneak over to the neighbor's and cut one out of their yard. Be sure to do it in the dark. For some reason, they don't like it when you get it during daylight hours.

Used to get a real tree. Never forget the first time i did that with my 'ol lady. She always had a fake. "You're getting a real tree??????" She never had one. Didn't know there was such a thing.....

We don't decorate. Just to much of a hassle with having cats. The little bastards eat, smash, destroy anything that looks shiny. Besides, we drive to our families for christmas, so we're normally not here much to enjoy it.

Christmas for me now isn't Christmas like it used to be. The only reason I look forward to it now is because I always take off work the week between Christmas and new years. This year I had a few extra days left so I'm going to have almost 2 full weeks off from work!

You my brother are a true WV hillbilly
Yeah bro, we kinda got a bad rep here.

We were at the "Dixie Stampede" last year. They act like they pull someone out of the audience. Ask them where they are from. "WV".
"What do ya think of all this electricity down here?"
Just 2 or 3 minutes before, they had brought the food out. (Ya eat with your hands.) I'm screaming out "We do have silverware."

Olds, I'm with you on Christmas. Haven't had a tree for 12 years? I'm wanting to rant at this point, but I won't. If you have kid's that are over it is great. That is the joy of it right there.
I'm a scrooge, but I do wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Was in Pigeon Forge. Good show. Check it out if ya get a chance.
That is where we have spent our Christmas the last few years. I usually get off work for a week.
