How to paint carbon?????????

i've seen bodies with carbon fiber effects on them, how do u do that is it painted or actual carbon fiber under neath?????????

The also sell carbon fiber stickers that go on before the paint.

Has anyone tried that? Is it heavy? Would it be a bad idea to make your entire lid that way?

I've seen it done on the tamiya F1 cars carbon fiber throughout and they sell a few other bodies like that also
