How to get wheelies out of a stadium truck.

I have a duratrax max. ST and i want wheelies. I have a 2 speed so i got the speed i want but i want it to point the front to the sky... what should i do?

amen to that mayhem. maybe you should tighten your slipper clutch if you have one. Or maybe loosen it....I'm confused. Can anyone with a tl or ae help me? hehe. If you get a brick you will get wheelies everytime! GL on the quest. BTW: wheelies are only cool until you realize that it does it every time. Mayhem knows what I'm talking bout.

I have a adam drake xxx-nt and a cvr- 12 and it will pull wheelies all day long. I myself dont like wheelies unless I am pulling them with my maxx, but all I have to do to pull wheelies with my xxx-nt is tighten my slipper clutch all the way down and put on tires with good tread an it is wheelie heaven

there should be a slipper clutch incorparated into your spur gear assembley, it should be the shaft that your spur gear rides on it should be a nut with a spring behind it that applies pressure to you slipper clutch and spur gear you use it to adjust how much torque gets to your rear wheels

I usto have one of them.. when it was a single speed... now its 2 speed.. it peels out like mad because its so light....

One observation...if you're peeling out like mad when you clamp the throttle, you're losing any traction necessary to pull a wheelie. One key element to getting the nose up is to get the wheels to grip. Try it on less slick surfaces. Asphalt. Grass. On gravel, my GT just throws up mad rooster tails. But on short grass it's a different story...

Try putting a little more weight in the back so it will hook up better then it should pull the font up no problem

hey jason. I have the same truck. I've also been drooling at the 2 speed hopup If you notice the battery pack is in the front of the truck.

I just had an idea.

You know the rear body mount assembly? The one you can take it off with two screws to get to your shocks. What if you took the battery pack and zip tied it to underside of that assembly? That should put some masive weight rear of the axel and remove some weight in the front. I bet you can pop a wheelie after that. I wanna pop some wheelies too maybe I'll try it out too. You may have to extend the power cord that goes to the reciever. Surely something I'd like to try.

You don't need more weight in the rear. You need traction. You need good soft tiers in the rear that are glued to the rims. You need the rear end pretty stiff you may add some preload spacers that should help turn peelouts into wheelies...

Still moving the battery pack from the front to the back wont hurt anything just make the front a little lighter therefore making it easier to pull it up

Well I have Mashers on the rear and little street tires on the front for weight... I might try the battery back thing... that sounds like a good idea. My rear shocks are pritty stiff...

Novicerob: The 2 speed makes this truck FLY i have a os .15 max and it flies.. hits well over 50mph..... its pritty cool watching it too and when it goes that fast.. it like picks off the cround cus its light... Whats the most frequently broken part?

And i try to wheelie on the street... i always race my friend he has a st too with the torque 12.. I thought it would be cooler if i beat him doing a wheelie

Why do we have to bring up old threads to just say YUP? and I'll drink to that? Here is a novel idea. Respond to the new threads, you might learn something. Leave the old threads dead....Post counts don't mean that much.

I agree with dave. The only time i think that bring up old threads is good is when you have something to add to the topic and that may help other members.

For expample.

To cheat, you can achieve wheelies by sliding some fuel line over your rear shock rods preventing them from compressing. Without the compression, the energy will be transfered to the axl rather than into the shocks causing you to pop wheel stands.

Now a "yup" and "ill drink to that" does nothing for the thread. especially if its an old thread.
