I saw a past thread that HB had a mod for this, but the pics were
gone.
Does anyone know how to get this servo into this car?
And can you use the hpi micro servo saver also?

Lemme round up the photos! The reason it went dead link was I cleaned up my webspace and the thread was past the time it will let me edit them.

Also currently I am trying to get the orginal thread fixed so stay tuned.

There you go.

Thanks HB.
Just a quick question though, were you able to get the servo in with just a little dremelling?
Or was it a major job?
Also, can you use a servo saver, like the hpi micro?
Thanks again, and the pic's would be a great help.

oh. Nice pics, Just looked.
I see what you have to do now.
HPI servo horn??

yup that is the HPI Micro RS4 steering servo horn. just cut and ream the hole bigger to accept the ball end. With the new metal gear servo you won't need a servo saver although if you want I can find you some info on it as others have done so. Dremeling on the chassis is minor imo, you just need to cut that barrier our that backed up against the old servo as the HiTech is a little deeper than the stock servo. that way I did it you also loose the back screw holes for the servo hold down plate but I have no problems holding it on tight with just the front screws.

does cutting that barrier weaken, or give you more flex in the chassis?
