Help how to add LED for Flysky GT3B

Hi

I'm trying to add a Led to my GT3B I've fitted it correctly but have done the wiring wrong i'm sure. It lights up but it's on all the time, meaning even when the transmitter switch is off it's on unless I take the battery out.
I've read on link http://www.rctech.net/forum/9399936-post2016.html
the guide but I'm not looking to change the regulator and it says something about using a resistor.
Can someone give me a step-by-step guide on how to install the led wiring only, would be ever so grateful, with pics if possible. I'm just getting slightly confused as I've never done it before and want to get it right without damaging my transmitter.

Thanks in advance

I'll take a look at mine when I finish up the current project i have spread out all over my hobby bench. I'll see if I can figure something out and yes you need to wire a resistor on one of leads for the LED....it can be on the negative or positive side either one. If your using a 5mm LED I would suggest a 220ohm 1/2W resistor or at least thats what I typically use.

Hi mate thanks for that.
I had a response from another guy on another forum, he sounds like he knows what he's talking about, as I have a 12V LED he said I only need to connect the positive to the regulator and the negative to be grounded. He mentioned that the 12V LED already are made with a resistor so no need for one.
