how do you tighten a rear diff on a 4wd rc car

I use silicone ear plugs for off road wheely machines but you usually don't wanna do that what you wanna do is take the rear diff out of the rear diff housing taking the ring gear off draining the fluid that's in there and then putting thicker fluid in making it act more like a locked diff

will that work if the diff is slipping
Not familiar with "tightening a diff" What are you trying to do exactly.
I'm trying to tighten it because the diff is slipping
 
I'm assuming by tighten you mean shim the diff? If thats so, add shims behind the ring gear to push it towards the pinion gear.
 
If the diff gear is slipping, chances are you have some worn teeth. If the diff is just too weak and you have one wheel spinning a lot then add some heavier diff fluid.
